PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR ORAL IMMUNOTHERAPY OF MULTIPLE MICRODERMATE ALLERGY

Abstract

The present invention relates to the field of immunology and allergy, and in particular to the use of allergens for the specific active immunotherapy of respiratory allergic diseases. The technical objective is to obtain a pharmaceutical composition for therapeutic or prophylactic use that employs mixtures of allergens from one or more species of dust mites. <em>Dermatophagoides< / em> and particularly of <em> Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus< / em> and <em> Dermatophagoides siboney< / em> , with the species <em> Blomia tropicalis< / em> This last one is typical of tropical climates, and sensitization to it is associated with more severe asthma. The pharmaceutical composition is standardized in biological activity units (BA), taking into account the content of the main allergens Der p 1, Der s 1, and Blo t 2. It is a liquid formulation with the addition of a mucoadhesive and stabilizing agent, offering a pleasant palatability that allows for oral administration and preserves the long-term stability of the active allergenic components. The product is administered to allergic individuals as oral or sublingual drops. It induces a balanced production of allergen-specific IgG antibodies against the different mite species it contains, thus blocking the IgE antibodies responsible for the allergic response. The method for obtaining this composition is provided.
