Abstract

The solution relates to a stabilized explosive comprising a crystalline explosive and a cured epoxy binder system. The epoxy binder system is formed by an epoxy resin with an amine curing system, wherein the explosive is stabilized such that the epoxy system contains 18 to 48 wt. % more curing amine than the amine content determined by calculating the stoichiometric amount of amine required for curing the epoxy system, wherein the stoichiometric amount of amine is determined by calculating according to the relationship PHR = (AHEW / EEW) . 100 . k, where PHR means the amount of amine hardener, AHEW means the amine equivalent of the hardener, EEW means the epoxy equivalent of the resin and k means the coefficient of increase in the content of the amine hardener.
