A connecting element, a car with the connecting element and a method of headlight assembly using the connecting element

Abstract

A connecting element (12) for attaching a part to a body (14) comprising a body (1) with at least one hole for inserting a screw (9) with a recess for countersinking the head (11) of the screw (9) and an insert (2) with a hole (6) attached to the body (1). The body (1) with the insert (2) are planarly symmetrical according to the plane in which the axis of the hole (6) of the insert (2) lies. An automobile (13) comprising a body (14) with two recesses (15) for headlights (18), two headlights (18) and at least two connecting elements (12), wherein the connecting element (12) is attached to the body (14) at the location of the recess (15) and the headlight (18) is attached to the connecting element (12), specifically to the insert (2) with the hole (6). A method of mounting a headlight (18) to a body (14) using connecting elements (12), comprising the step of attaching the connecting elements (12) to the body (14) at the location of the recess (15) and the step of attaching the headlights (18) to the recess (15) of the body (14) of the automobile (13).
