A sensor to measure compressive force

Abstract

A sensor (1) for measuring pressure force, comprising a base layer (2), a conductive layer (3) and a resistive element (4). The conductive layer (3) is attached to the base layer (2), the conductive layer (3) being positioned between the base layer (2) and the resistive element (4). The resistive element (4) is movable relative to the conductive layer (3) and comprises a contact surface (8) for contact with the conductive layer (3). This resistive element (4) has a variable internal electrical resistance depending on the degree of compression of the resistive element (4). This resistive element (4) has a shape in section along at least one plane perpendicular to the base layer (2), at least part of which is concave or convex.
