Abstract

The equipment to control heat flux through the heat-transfer surface (4) of a body (2) has in its volume an uneven time-invariant 3D heat field and 2D field of heat fluxes passes through its heat-transfer surface (4). The equipment consists of a foil (1) adhering to the heat-transfer surface of the body (2) made from the material with thermal conductivity λ1 and provided with cutouts (5) which are filled with the substance with thermal conductivity λ2 different from λ1. The ratio of the surface of cutouts (5) per unit of area of the foil (1) towards the desired increase of heat flux in the field of heat fluxes increases if λ2 > λ1 and decreases if λ2 < λ1. The numerical simulation and optimisation are used to obtain the optimum values of effective thermal conductivity for the individual spots of the foil and the following calculation using known heat conductivity λ2 is used to determine the dimensions of the cutout for the respective spot.
