Abstract

Condition sensing device (5) of a wear element (3) comprising a sliding surface (3a) and configured to slide through an oil film (4) relative to a conductive opposite element (2), the condition sensing device (5) comprising: a chip main part (11) having a tip surface (13) arranged relative to the opposite element (2) at the same relative position as the sliding surface (3a), and a main surface (14) connected to the tip surface (13) and extending in a direction away from the opposite element (2), and a condition sensing chip (10) with wiring (12) formed on the main surface (14), the wiring (12) comprising a sliding sensing circuit (15) having a pair of sliding sensing lines (17) extending independently of each other from the tip surface (13) in the direction away from the opposite element (2),and the condition detection device (5) further comprises: a first resistance measuring unit (6) configured to measure an electrical resistance between the pair of sliding detection leads (17); and a processing unit (20) comprising a first determination unit (24) configured to determine whether a value of electrical resistance measured by the first resistance measuring unit (6) is below a previously defined first threshold value.
