Abstract

The invention relates to an exhaust system (10) for an internal combustion engine (12) of a motor vehicle, comprising a burner (48) that can be supplied with air and fuel, by means of which a mixture comprising air and fuel is to be burned, comprising an air line (58) through which air can flow, and through which the burner (48) can be supplied with the air flowing through the air line (58), and comprising an air pump (56) arranged in the air line (58), by means of which the air can be conveyed through the air line (58) and conveyed to the burner (48) in order to supply the burner (48) with air, wherein a second air pump (67) connected in series with the air pump (56) is arranged in the air line (58) for conveying the air.
