Abstract

A composite magnet for use in applications where the composite magnet is immersed in or in contact with oil, the composite magnet comprising a hardened product of a hardenable composition, comprising: a magnetic powder; at least one epoxy resin, which is at least one of a phenol-novolac type epoxy resin, a cresol-novolac type epoxy resin or a triphenylmethane type epoxy resin; and at least one phenol resin-based hardener, which is at least one of a novolac type phenol resin, a cresol-novolac type phenol resin or a triphenylmethane type phenol resin.
