Abstract

The invention relates to a flood protection solution that can be easily retrofitted to standard doors. For this purpose, the invention provides a building door (10) designed as a swing door, which closes a wall opening (20) in a building (22), comprising a frame (14), a door leaf (12), fittings, and a threshold (24). All openings and gaps on the building door (10) leading away from one side of the opening in the area between the floor (OFF) and at least at the level of a sealing plane (72) located below a handle area, between the door leaf (12), frame (14), threshold (24), floor (OFF), and the boundary of the wall opening (20), are sealed in such a way that a water pressure corresponding to the height of the sealing plane (72) is maintained in a fluid-tight manner.
