Abstract

The invention relates to a mixing device (1) and mixing method for mixing a rubber mixture, comprising a mixing chamber (2), a feed chute (3) for feeding the mixing chamber, which is connected to the mixing chamber via an inlet opening, a ventilation system (10) suitable for extracting mixture components remaining in the feed chute, and which is connected to the feed chute via a ventilation opening (12), and a flap (11) suitable for temporarily closing and opening the ventilation opening completely.
