Abstract
The invention relates to a radar unit for a vehicle, comprising a radar antenna (1) and a radome (3) at least partially surrounding the radar antenna (1) for protection of the radar antenna (1), as well as a laser emitter unit (5) for emitting a laser beam, and at least one mirror (9) coupled to an actuator unit (7) of the radar unit, wherein the mirror (9) is rotatably mounted about at least two axes, wherein the actuator unit (7) is designed to change the orientation of the mirror (9) based on a control signal in order to change the direction of the reflection of the laser beam at the mirror (9) as it travels towards the radome (3), in order to heat the radome (3) by means of the laser beam striking the radome (3) and being at least partially absorbed at the radome (3).
