Abstract

Device (1) and method for monitoring the system temperature (Tsys) of a system (SYS) comprising a circuit containing at least one semiconductor switch (HS; LS) having at least one temperature-sensitive electrical parameter (P), wherein the device (1) is designed to record the temperature-sensitive electrical parameter (P) of the semiconductor switch of the circuit as a temperature indicator during a switching operation of the semiconductor switch and to evaluate it for determining the system temperature (Tsys) of the system (SYS).
