Abstract
A device for winding and unwinding a stranded material, in particular a charging cable, onto and from a first spool is described. The device comprises at least the first spool for receiving the stranded material, at least the stranded material itself, and at least one fan configured and designed to generate an airflow directed onto the first spool. The device is configured and designed to wind the stranded material such that, in a direction extending radially to an axis of rotation of the first spool, at least a free space is created between the individual windings of the stranded material, which is penetrable by the airflow generated by the fan.
