Multi-cockpit vehicle and / or flight simulator

Abstract

The invention relates to a simulator system comprising at least one cockpit (1) with a mechanical manipulator interface and comprising a robot manipulator (3), wherein the manipulator interface and the end effector can be reversibly mechanically connected and disconnected, and comprising a simulation computer and a control unit connected to the simulation computer for controlling actuators of the robot manipulator (3), wherein the control unit is configured to control the actuators depending on signals from the simulation computer, and to selectively control the robot manipulator (3) either i) to guide the end effector to the manipulator interface, connect the end effector to the manipulator interface and pick up and move the cockpit (1), or ii) when the cockpit (1) is arranged on the robot manipulator (3),to move the cockpit (1) to a drop-off location (5) and, after dropping the cockpit (1) at the drop-off location (5), to disconnect the manipulator interface and the end effector from each other.
