Abstract

Sliding element (1), comprising a back sheet (10) made of steel as the outermost layer, a sintered lining (11) consisting of Cu, Bi and Sn and an electroplated cover layer (12) as a sliding surface, formed from an alloy deposition film of Bi and Sb, wherein the cover layer (12) is connected to a lining (11) made of the copper alloy by means of an intermediate layer (13) which contains Ag as its main component, characterized in that the intermediate layer (13) is formed from an Ag-Sn alloy with Sn in the amount of 30 wt% and has a thickness which is 0.1 µm or more but less than 5 µm.
