Abstract
[Problem] To achieve a reduction in electrical resistance, an improvement in the stability of the electrically conductive connection, and simple manufacturing in a bearing seal that prevents electrical corrosion in a rolling bearing. [Solution] Conductive fibers 5 are integrally formed in a surface layer on the surface of an elastic element 4, and sections of the conductive fibers 5 are exposed from the surface. Sections of the conductive fibers 5 exposed from the surface of an outer circumference 8 of the elastic element 4 are in contact with an outer ring 11. Sections of the conductive fibers 5 exposed from the surface of an inner circumference 9 of the elastic element 4 are in contact with an inner ring 12.The conductive fibers 5 are integrally formed within the surface layer of the elastic element 4, thus significantly reducing the risk of the conductive fibers 5 detaching from the elastic element 4. The sections of the conductive fibers 5 exposed from the surface of the elastic element 4 are in sliding contact with the inner ring 12, thereby reducing electrical resistance and stabilizing the contact for the electrically conductive connection. It is not difficult during manufacturing to form the conductive fibers 5 integrally within the surface layer of the elastic element 4 and to have the sections of the conductive fibers 5 exposed from the surface.
