Abstract

Cycling shorts (5) with a pad (4) coupled to a crotch area (51) of the cycling shorts (5), wherein the pad (4) is divided by a central axis (X) into a left ischial support section (4a) and a right ischial support section (4b), characterized in that: the pad (4) is designed on the basis of a personalized ischial pressure distribution pattern (M), wherein the pattern (M) is derived from a plurality of pressure signals generated by a plurality of sensors (11) distributed on a test saddle (1) while a rider is seated on the test saddle (1) and pedaling, and the pattern (M) represents a spatial pressure distribution exerted by a left ischial tuberosity (6) and a right ischial tuberosity (7) of the rider; wherein the left ischial support section (4a) has a left support area (42a) whose surface and contour correspond to the position of the left ischial tuberosity (6);and wherein the right ischial support section (4b) has a right support area (42b) whose surface and contour correspond to the position of the right ischial tuberosity (7).
