Abstract

Lamp cover for an underwater pool light assembly, comprising: an inner cap formed from a translucent plastic material and designed to enclose and seal a light source comprising at least one LED package in order to protect the light source from the ingress of pool water; an outer cap formed from a translucent plastic material and surrounding the inner cap;as well as a spacer structure extending between the inner cap and the outer cap and interacting with the inner cap and the outer cap to form an annular water chamber between them, the annular water chamber being open towards the pool water so that pool water is present between the inner cap and the outer cap during operation, and the inner cap being designed to keep the light source in a dry, waterproof environment, while the light emitted by the light source passes through the inner cap, the water in the annular water chamber and the outer cap to create a decorative visual effect.
