Abstract

The invention relates to an integrated modular system for the treatment and valorization of wet marine biomass, preferably sargassum, with hydrogen production and internal resource reuse. The system comprises a pretreatment module that, through mechanical compression and moisture reduction, separates a valuable solid fraction from a residual liquid fraction; a thermochemical valorization module; an electrolysis module for the production of hydrogen and oxygen; and a water treatment module. Characteristically, the oxygen generated during electrolysis is reused to create a gaseous oxidizing agent for the internal treatment of leachate. The system may incorporate thermal integration for further moisture reduction and / or hydrothermal conditioning of wet biomass, defining a closed and energy-integrated process architecture for the valorization and internal treatment of waste streams.
