Abstract
Description
Hanger accessory TECHNICAL SECTOR The present invention relates to an accessory for existing clothes hangers, specially designed for hanging long dresses and similar garments, preventing them from rubbing or dragging on the floor with the consequent deterioration or soiling of the garment during transport or display. However, the invention's device is not only exclusive to long dresses, but also adds an additional functionality to the original hanger by allowing trousers or other folded garments to be hung, facilitating the creation of coordinated outfits. The accessory is configured as a monoblock piece of rigid or semi-rigid plastic material, produced by injection molding and consists of a top coupling with two tabs or harpoon-type hooks configured to be detachably attached to a conventional hanger for garments such as jackets, blouses or dresses. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In the practical application of the invention, specific hangers for upper garments, such as jackets, blouses or dresses, as well as specific hangers for trousers, are known, defining elements independent of each other. Within the first type of hangers, there are also hangers that include a lower bar for hanging trousers, allowing a set to be joined on a single hanger, such as a two- or three-piece suit. However, when it comes to long dresses and other similar garments, neither of these two types of hangers is suitable, because in order for the dress not to wrinkle or become misshapen, it needs to be hung on a hanger of the first type, so that, due to its length, it is common for the dress to rub or drag on the floor with the consequent deterioration or soiling of the garment during transport or display. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The proposed hanger accessory fully and satisfactorily resolves the aforementioned problem, based on a simple yet effective solution. For this purpose, the device of the invention is intended to constitute an accessory attachable to hangers for upper garments, in its simplest variant, that is, hangers of the type constituted from a main body from which two arc-shaped arms emerge laterally, which ends by emerging at the top in a hanging hook, and which lack a horizontal hanging bar for garments. More specifically, the device of the invention is made up of a vertically elongated body, slightly longer than the height of the main body of the hanger to which it is attached (i.e., without taking into account the height of its hook), which ends at one of its extremities in an upper head in which a seating area is defined for the central core of the main body of the hanger. Thus, the accessory of the invention attaches to the hanger in the area where the hanger's hanging hook emerges, by means of the upper head that defines the seating area. In this respect, the hanger's hanging hook passes through a slot provided at the end of the accessory's upper head. Likewise, elastically deformable tabs are located on either side of the slot, which bend downwards to embrace the central body of the hanger from above and laterally. The elongated body, mentioned above, is finished at its opposite end to the end where the upper head is arranged in a rectangular ring, elongated horizontally, which defines a bar, which is transverse, on the lower side free for hanging garments. More specifically, and as previously stated, the length of the elongated body is calculated so that, once the accessory of the invention is mounted on the hanger, the bar of the rectangular ring is positioned below the main body of the hanger, at a predetermined distance that allows the lower end of the dress to be folded without the bottom part touching the ground, even in the case of dresses of considerable length. Consequently, the accessory of the invention will be manufactured with an elongated body of varying lengths, depending on the height of the different types of hangers to which it is intended to be attached. Likewise, the device of the invention may have different distances from the upper head to the elastically deformable tabs, to accommodate different hanger designs (i.e., the relative dimensions between the elements that make up the device of the invention will allow it to be attached to hangers with different geometries in the attachment area). Returning to the bar that defines the lower side of the rectangular ring extending from the bottom of the elongated body, this bar will preferably include a non-slip coating or a grooved surface with non-slip ridges, similar to the bars used on trouser hangers. It will be sized and designed to receive a folded garment, particularly the hem of a long dress or trousers that, for example, match the top garment hanging on the hanger. In this way, the garment is folded over the bar and suspended above the floor, preventing friction and the resulting damage, soiling, or unwanted wrinkles. Optionally, corresponding to the lower vertices of the rectangular ring, opposing "L"-shaped appendages may be included, positioned below the bar and slightly offset from the vertical plane that defines the elongated body and rectangular ring assembly. These appendages provide additional support to hold the garment in place by pinching it, preventing it from slipping off the bar. It should be noted that the aforementioned offset of the position of the appendages with respect to the vertical plane will be appropriate to the thickness of the folded garment. Finally, it should be noted that, also optionally, the upper head of the device can incorporate a recess located on the opposite side from where the tabs are positioned (i.e., corresponding to the back of the accessory). Thus, in side-stacking, that is, when placing a first hanger and accessory assembly next to a second assembly, these assemblies can be positioned as close together as possible, fitting the tabs of one accessory's upper head into the recess of the adjacent accessory's head, resulting in space savings. The accessory of the invention is detachable, allowing the user to install or remove it as needed, without tools and without modifying the structure of the original hanger. This facilitates its use with hangers already on the market and its application in different environments, such as domestic use, fashion stores, dry cleaners, garment displays, transport, or storage. From this structure, the following advantages are derived: • Prevent long dresses from touching the floor when hung up. • Add a functional bar to a hanger that was not originally intended for hanging folded clothes. • Allows you to hang and combine tops and bottoms on the same hanger, creating visually organized and easily accessible outfits. • Improves organization and space utilization in warehouses, closets, dressing rooms and displays. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description that follows and to aid in a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is included as an integral part of said description, in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1 shows a front elevation view of a hanger accessory made in accordance with the object of the present invention. Figure 2 shows a profile view of the device of the invention. Figure 3 shows a top view of the device of the invention. Figure 4 shows a perspective view of the device of the invention. Figure 5 shows a perspective view of the device of the invention in its pre-coupling position on a conventional hanger. Figure 6 shows a view similar to that of Figure 5, but in which the assembly appears perfectly fitted. Figure 7 shows a view in an opposite perspective of the assembly in Figure 6, where the view is taken showing the back face of the accessory. Figure 8 shows a front view of the hanger and accessory set on which a long dress is hanging. Figures 9 and 10 show two profile views of the assembly represented in Figure 8, in a previous phase of hanging (Figure 9), and the final hanging position (Figure 10). Figure 11 shows, finally, a detail of one of the optional clamping elements, the appendages included in the device of the invention, on which the way in which the garment would be stabilized by means of this element is represented. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of the figures described, and especially figures 5 to 7, it can be observed how the device being advocated is intended to constitute an accessory attachable to a hanger of the type made up of a main body in which a central core (1) is defined from which two arched arms (2) emerge laterally, as well as a hanging hook (3) above. In accordance with the invention, the device of the invention consists of an elongated body (5), slightly longer than the height of the main body of the hanger to which it is attached. This elongated body (5) terminates in an upper head (6) which defines a seating area (8) for the central core (1) of the hanger's main body. The upper head (6) includes a slot (7) for the passage of the hanging hook (3). On either side of this slot (7) are elastically deformable tabs (9) that bend downwards to embrace the central body of the hanger from above and laterally, providing an easy-to-use means of coupling and uncoupling without the need for any additional tools or accessories. As can be seen in Figure 1, the elongated body (5) is finished at its opposite end to the upper head (6) (i.e., at its lower end) in a horizontally elongated rectangular ring (4), with a width corresponding to the width of the hanger to which it is intended to be attached, a rectangular ring (4) that defines on its free lower side a transverse bar (10) for hanging the garments. The bar (10) may have a circular, oval, or polygonal cross-section. Optionally, the surface of the bar (10) may incorporate a non-slip coating or relief, such as grooves, ridges, or an overmolding of material with greater friction, which prevents garments from shifting unintentionally. Based on this structure, and as can be seen in Figures 8 to 11, when it is necessary to hang a garment (13) such as a long dress, once the device of the invention is attached to the corresponding hanger, it will be enough to hang the dress by its straps on the main hanger, as shown in Figure 9, and then place the free lower end of the dress on the bar (10), as shown in Figures 8 and 10. In this way, the use of the accessory of the present invention together with a hanger allows a drastic reduction in the vertical space occupied by a dress, thus preventing it from being dragged along the floor during transport and display. The accessory's design allows it to be used not only for its primary function of lifting and folding the bottom of a dress, but also for hanging trousers or other folded garments. This way, a jacket and matching trousers, or a dress paired with a bottom or other complementary garment, can be neatly arranged on the same hanger, optimizing wardrobe space and making it easier to put together complete outfits. According to another feature of the invention, and as can be seen in detail in Figures 4 and 11, corresponding to the lower vertices of the rectangular ring (4), there are opposing L-shaped appendages (11) positioned below the bar (10) and slightly offset anteriorly with respect to the vertical plane of the assembly composed of the elongated body (5) and the rectangular ring (4), as shown in Figure 3. Specifically, the aforementioned offset corresponds to a magnitude appropriate to the thickness of the folded garment (13). These appendages (11) allow for increased securing of the garment (13) as it passes through them, acting as clamping elements for the garment (13). Finally, and as can be seen in figure 7, it has been planned that the upper head (6) includes a recess (12) arranged on the face opposite to the face where the tabs (9) are arranged (i.e., in correspondence with its rear face), where the recess (12) is of a thickness according to the thickness of the tabs (9) that protrude from the assembly formed by the device and the hanger to which it is attached, in order to allow said tabs (9) (observable in figure 2) to fit into the recess (12) of an assembly located immediately after this one, in order to allow stacking with a minimum volumetric occupation between hanger / accessory assemblies.
