Description

HANGING CANDLE OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The invention, as stated in the present descriptive memorandum, refers to a hanging candle that presents advantages and characteristics, which are described in detail below, that represent an improvement over the current state of the art. The object of the present invention is a candle, of the kind used mainly for decoration but also for lighting, which has the particularity of comprising a non-combustible wick and a wax body that is consumed by the flame, the wick being provided for hanging suspended from the ceiling or some support, allowing a configuration of the wax body that is extremely long and narrow and does not drip, making it especially suitable for decoration but can also be used for lighting without the inconveniences of conventional candles that rest on their base. FIELD OF APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION The field of application of the present invention falls within the sector of the industry dedicated to the manufacture of decorative elements as well as the manufacture of lighting means, focusing particularly on the field of candles. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Many types and models of candles are available on the market, most of which have the drawback of producing wax drips that detract from their aesthetic appearance. The essential objective of the present invention is to provide the market with an improved type of candle that, in addition to being designed to be hung from a height, does not generate drops of melted wax that need to be collected in a lower receptacle or fall directly to the floor, and also allows for a longer burning time. Furthermore, and with reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, at least to the applicant's knowledge, there is no other candle, nor any other similar invention, that presents technical, structural and constitutive characteristics equal or similar to those of the one claimed herein. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The hanging candle proposed by the invention is configured as an optimal solution to achieve the objectives mentioned above while also representing an improvement over the current state of the art, with the characterizing details that make it possible and that distinguish it being conveniently included in the final claims that accompany this description. Specifically, what the invention proposes, as previously mentioned, is a candle, which, being conventionally formed from a wax body with a wick on its axis, is distinguished essentially by the fact that the wick comprises a non-combustible material, preferably silica fiber, with which it is also hung suspended from the ceiling or some support, the body of the candle being, preferably, a long and narrow cylindrical body of wax that is consumed by the flame. In a preferred embodiment, the diameter of the wax body of the candle is less than 10 mm, and more preferably less than 6 mm, so that the wax evaporates and does not drip. In this preferred embodiment, the diameter of the wick is less than 3 mm, preferably less than 2.5 mm and more preferably less than 1.5 mm so that, as the wax is consumed, the existence of the non-combustible wick from which it hangs is practically not noticeable, making it appear to float in the air. Furthermore, because it is a hanging candle, its body can be quite long, around 50 cm, which wouldn't be possible with a candle that rests on its base due to its narrow diameter. This allows the candle to burn for a significantly longer period, providing light for a considerable amount of time. In any case, the wick can optionally be made of two layers. In this case, the inner layer is made of non-combustible material, specifically the aforementioned silica fiber, and the outer layer is made of combustible material that burns away, just like in conventional candles. This also creates the impression that the candle is flying or suspended in the air, since the inner layer of the wick is thinner and harder to see than the outer layer as it burns away. Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, when the candle has a double-layered wick, the outer layer of combustible material only covers the portion of the wick located near the wax body, while the inner layer is longer, such that the upper end of the wick, from which the candle is suspended, only includes this non-combustible inner layer. This further enhances the visual impression that the candle is suspended in the air. Finally, it should be noted that, optionally, the candle can be sold together with a hanging support, for example consisting of a wall support piece, to fix it on the appropriate surface and protect it from any heating caused by the flame, and which will be flat and long, to cover approximately the same length as the wax body plus the wick, and a hook or similar protruding element located at its top from which the end of the wick is supported. DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, this descriptive document is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by sheets of drawings in which the following has been represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes: Figure 1 shows a schematic front elevation view of an example of the hanging candle that is the object of the invention, showing its general configuration; Figure 2 shows an enlarged schematic perspective view of detail A indicated in Figure 1, where the upper end of the candle can be seen, with the non-combustible wick fixed to the hanging support; and Figure number 3 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of the candle of the invention, showing in this case the layers of the wick and the wax body respectively in its preferred variant. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of the aforementioned figures, and in accordance with the numbering adopted, one can observe in them an example of a non-limiting embodiment of the hanging candle of the invention, which comprises what is described in detail below. Thus, as can be seen in Figure 1, the candle (1) of the invention, being of the type formed by a wax body (2) with a wick (3) on its axis, is distinguished essentially by the fact that it comprises a non-combustible wick (3), and a long and narrow wax body (2) that feeds and is consumed by the flame (4), said wick (3) being dimensioned to extend over the wax body (2) in a higher section (3a) of such length that it allows its knotted or attached fixation to a support (5) or similar element to hang the candle (1) suspended from it. Preferably, the non-combustible wick (3) is made of silica fiber. In any case, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the diameter (D) of the wax body (2) is less than 10 mm, and more preferably less than 6 mm, to prevent it from dripping. And, also preferably, the diameter (d) of the drill bit (3) is less than 3 mm, preferably less than 2.5 mm and more preferably less than 1.5 mm. In any case, preferably, the length (L) of the wax body (2) of the candle (1) is approximately 50 cm. Furthermore, in one embodiment, the wick (3) formed by the non-combustible material, preferably silica fiber, includes an outer layer (3b) of combustible material. And, preferably, said outer layer (3b) of combustible material of the wick does not cover the upper section (3a) that serves as a hanging and that emerges from the top of the wax body (2) before its use, but covers the part of it located near the wax body (2). As a non-limiting example, the candle (1) can be attached to a wall-mounted support (5), comprising a long, flat piece (5a) that spans approximately the same length as the wax body (2) plus the wick (3), with a hook (5b) or similar at its top from which the end of the wick (3) is supported. Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to make its explanation more extensive so that any expert in the field can understand its scope and the advantages that derive from it.
