Description

EQUINE POST-SURGICAL ABDOMINAL SUPPORT BELT TECHNICAL SECTOR The present invention falls within the field of equine veterinary surgery and clinical practice, and more specifically, within the area of orthopedic, support, and abdominal recovery devices for horses. In this context, abdominal binders constitute a tool for providing structural support and restraint during the postoperative period in horses. Currently, the veterinary field offers solutions using bandages and slings designed to immobilize and protect injured areas or those undergoing surgery. However, these solutions lack additional elements that contribute to faster therapeutic improvement, the bandages are adhesive and very damaging to the skin, and none of the solutions optimize the animal's anatomical adaptation. This utility model introduces a post-surgical abdominal belt (a) with copper (i) for horses and other equines, incorporating a breastplate (d) that ensures the correct positioning and functionality of the device. The main innovation of this belt (a) lies in the integration of copper (i) into the fabric, a unique element on the market that, thanks to its antibacterial, antifungal, and virucidal properties, helps accelerate the wound healing process in the patient. This is achieved by inhibiting the proliferation of bacteria and fungi that could develop with the use of bandages or other post-surgical compression garments. This improvement represents a significant advance over conventional solutions; furthermore, the compression garment (a) presented here provides an anatomical fit, adapting effectively to the patient's body shape. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In equine veterinary medicine, support devices following abdominal surgery are necessary for the structural maintenance of the operated area. Traditionally, adhesive bandages have been used to cover the affected area and provide support. However, this method presents technical drawbacks due to the adhesive nature of the material, which requires frequent replacements and increases handling time for technical staff compared to a girdle. On the other hand, existing belt models in the state of the art lack integrated elements that provide additional technical protection in the contact area, as well as specific folding structures that allow for precise morphological adaptation to the animal's body. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an equine post-surgical abdominal belt (a) with copper (i), which includes a breastplate (d). It is specially designed to support the recovery of horses following surgical procedures such as laparotomies, colic surgeries, hernia repairs, penetrating wounds, and other procedures in the abdominal area. This girdle (a) is distinguished by the innovative incorporation of 99.8% pure copper (i) in the abdominal area, a material that provides antimicrobial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory properties and promotes accelerated healing. The design of the girth (a), along with an adjustable pressure system of straps (b) and buckles (c), allows for optimal adaptation to the horse's body. It also features specialized components such as a padded spine guard (f), a removable urine guard (j) for males, high-strength stainless steel buckles (c) and rings (e), and padded areas. These solutions represent improvements over market products, based on the integration of 99.8% pure copper (i) in the abdominal area, the conical shape of the girdle (a) obtained by folding, the integrated padded spine guard (f), the urine protector (j) and the system of straps (b) and buckles (c). BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, this descriptive document is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by a set of drawings in which the following has been represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes: Figure number 1.- Shows a view of the right side of the sash (a) on the horse, and of the fold designed in the structure of the sash (a) that allows its adaptation to the morphology of the animal's body. Figure 2 shows a view of the left side of the girth (a) on the horse. The area of the girths (b) and buckles (c) is indicated. Figure 3 shows a view of the breastplate (d) including the equine post-surgical abdominal belt (a) with copper (i). The rings (e) on the padded spine guard (f) are indicated, to which the two lateral fastening straps over the shoulder of the breastplate (d) are anchored via a carabiner with a safety lock. Figure 4 shows a top view of the girth (a) on the horse, indicating the position of the two pairs of rings (e) relative to the spine, and the buckles (c), which are the elements where the girth straps (b) are inserted and adjusted. Both components are located on the padded spine guard (f). The dorsal strap (g) is also shown, indicating the centered position of the girth (a), aligned with the upper line (h) of the body that follows the spine. Figure 5 shows a ventral view of the horse's abdomen, where the copper (i) of the girdle (a) is located. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION The preferred embodiment of the invention comprises an equine post-surgical abdominal girdle (a) with copper (i), which includes a breastplate (d), made of resistant fabric to fit the horse's body. The girdle (a) is composed of two layers of resistant fabric joined together which contain straps (b) between them adjustable to the diameter of the patient's contour, and an integrated area with 99.8% pure copper (i) in the abdominal part, in order to provide the aforementioned antimicrobial and therapeutic properties. The design incorporates an adjustable pressure system using straps (b) that are inserted into their respective stainless steel buckles (c), allowing for a firm, durable and rust-resistant fit. The girdle (a) includes a padded spine guard (f) that protects the equine's spine. For male horses, a removable urine protector (j) is incorporated. Also, part of the breastplate straps (d) have a percentage of elasticity (approximately 8%). The tapered adaptation of the girdle (a) is achieved through a strategic adjustment fold, which allows for a customized and comfortable fit for the patient.
