Description

DESCRIPTION Removable bed for vehicles Technology sector The invention relates to a removable bed for vehicles, applicable in the construction sector, furniture modules, in particular bed modules, intended for the conversion of vehicles or vans into habitable vehicles. State of the art Existing solutions for converting vans into campers usually require fixed installations or the use of specialized tools and do not achieve a wide and level resting surface with the seats folded down, generating discomfort. Furthermore, many of these systems are universal or bulky, which means a poorer fit to the vehicle and greater weight, increasing fuel consumption and reducing payload capacity. On the other hand, some modules do not allow for optimal use of space when not in use, permanently occupying the trunk. Explanation of the invention The removable bed of the invention is applicable in vehicles, preferably vans, equipped with a trunk with load anchor points or rails for mounting seats, and rear seats that fold between an unfolded position for use and a folded position in which they define a horizontal surface. This removable bed has technical features that allow you to quickly and easily transform the trunk of the vehicle or van into a level resting area with the horizontal surface defined by the seats in the folded position, so that this horizontal surface increases the sleeping area of the bed and the comfort of use of it. The removable bed comprises two metal frames provided with longitudinal, horizontal rails, fixed on support legs that have a lower end provided with fixing pieces to the rails or anchor points of the vehicle and a resting surface arranged on the frames and comprising boards joined together by means of hinges provided for the unfolding in a flat position and the accordion folding of the resting surface, The metal frames have a predetermined height, intended to support the bed's resting surface in a position flush with the horizontal surface defined by the folded-down rear seats. In the folded position, the boards that make up the sleeping surface are stacked on top of a front section of frames, freeing up trunk space when the bed is not in use and without the need to dismantle the structure. The folding bed includes means for fixing the sleeping surface to the metal frames, which allows for its stability during use. Preferably, these fastening means comprise nuts embedded in the boards of the resting surface and tightening screws mounted in holes in the stringers and provided with hand-operated knobs. With these features, the bed can be assembled without modifying the vehicle's structure and in a simple way, without tools or using basic tools such as a wrench or screwdriver. The removable bed has been designed to have dimensions suitable for each vehicle model, ensuring a precise fit, safe installation, and a continuous, comfortable sleeping surface that is flush with the folded-down rear seats. The bed of the invention provides several advantages, including: - Level and continuous resting surface with the rear seats folded down. - Folding system that reduces the volume occupied when not in use. - Simple installation, no permanent modifications and minimal tools required. - Secure anchoring to original vehicle points (rails or cargo tie-downs). - Specific adaptation to each van model. - Economical manufacturing with conventional tools. - Reduced weight, which facilitates handling and assembly. - When not used as a bed, the structure allows cargo to be transported both above and below it, making efficient use of the vehicle's interior space. Brief description of the content of the drawings To complement the description being made and in order to facilitate the understanding of the characteristics of the invention, a set of drawings is included with this descriptive report in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: - Figure 1 shows a side view of an example embodiment of the detachable bed according to the invention with the boards forming the sleeping surface in the folded position. - Figure 2 shows a rear view of the detachable bed from Figure 1, with the sleeping surface in the same folded position. - Figure 3 shows a top plan view of the removable bed from Figures 1 and 2, installed in the trunk of a vehicle, fixed on the seat mounting rails, and in which the folded rear seats have also been represented defining a horizontal surface. - Figure 4 shows a side view of Figure 3, with the bed's resting surface in the unfolded position and aligned with the horizontal surface of the rear seats, which forms an extension of said resting surface. Detailed exposition of modes of implementation of the invention. In the embodiment shown in the accompanying figures, the detachable bed of the invention comprises two metal frames (1) provided with two longitudinal beams (11), horizontal and parallel, fixed on support legs (12) which have a lower end provided with fixing pieces (13) to rails or anchor points of a vehicle; and a resting surface (2) arranged on the frames and comprising boards (21), joined together by means of hinges (22) provided for accordion folding of the resting surface (2), as shown in figures 1 to 3, and its unfolding in a flat position as shown in figure 4. Figures 3 and 4 show the removable bed fixed inside the trunk of a vehicle, for example, a van, provided with rails (31) for mounting seats, and rear seats (32) that fold between an unfolded position for use and a folded position in which they define a horizontal surface (33). As shown in Figure 4, the metal frames (1) have a predetermined height, intended to support the resting surface (2) in a position flush with the horizontal surface (33) defined by the folded-down rear seats (32). In the folded position, the boards (21) forming the resting surface (2) are stacked on a front section of the frames (1), optimizing the available trunk space when the resting surface is not in use. The fixing pieces (13) of the legs (12) to the rails (31) have been provided to be analogous to those used in each case by the vehicle manufacturer for fixing the seats, ensuring their compatibility with the rails and a correct fixing of the bed to said rails (31). The removable bed comprises means for the stable fixing of the sleeping surface (2) to the metal frames (1). Preferably, these fixing means comprise nuts (not shown) embedded in the boards (21) of the sleeping surface (2) and tightening screws provided with knobs (14) and mounted in holes in the side rails (11). Once the nature of the invention has been sufficiently described, as well as an example of a preferred embodiment, it is noted for the appropriate purposes that the materials, shape, size and arrangement of the elements described may be modified, provided that this does not imply an alteration of the essential characteristics of the invention claimed below.
