Abstract

1. An insect-catching scoop, characterized in that it has a capture surface with closely spaced elevations, either pointed or ridge-shaped, where the upper part of these elevations is coated with a non-adhesive coating while the rest of the surface is coated with a soft, sticky adhesive coating that does not air dry. 2. The blade according to claim 1, characterized in that the capture surface has two lateral zones and a transverse strip whose elevations are crest-shaped, with the crests parallel; and a remaining zone where the elevations are pointed. 3. The shovel according to claims 1 or 2, characterized in that it is equipped with a handle to increase the reach and motor maneuverability of the shovel.

Description

Insect-catching shovel Technical field of the invention The invention relates to a shovel for catching insects. Background of the invention Trapping tools with a soft adhesive coating are known to be placed in various locations. These tools are collected for destruction when needed. "Fly swatters" are also known, in which the impact energy crushes the insects. There are known electric trapping tools, in which high voltage kills insects upon contact. The objective is to capture and manipulate unwanted insects through active motor capture, using a scoop but without requiring physical force to capture and trap them. While a soft adhesive-coated surface on the scoop traps insects upon contact, it is desirable to be able to maneuver the scoop without the capturing surface, with its soft adhesive, sticking to the surrounding material upon contact. It is also desirable that users with reduced muscle strength or mobility be able to actively capture unwanted insects with the scoop. Explanation of the invention A shovel is disclosed in accordance with the claims. Brief description of the drawing Fig. 1 shows a shovel according to the invention Detailed explanation The characteristics of the shovel make it capable of being maneuvered, and of confronting and touching different surfaces and materials without an adhesive coating sticking, since raised tips and edges without adhesive create a distance from an adhesive surface when the shovel comes into contact with an underlying material, while at the same time exposing the adhesive-coated surface so that insects can be trapped. The blade has a structurally shaped blade, with elevations very close together across the entire surface of the blade, as shown in Figure 1. In the example, the elevations terminate in their final forms with a pointed shape (see A-1) and with a ridged shape (see A-2). At all points and ridges, the surface is coated with a glossy coating without soft adhesive (see A-3). The rest of the shovel's surface is coated with a soft, sticky adhesive (see A-4) that does not air dry. The shovel can be fitted with a handle to increase the reach and maneuverability of the catch shovel. All over the capture surface, there are protrusions very close together, with points and ridges at the ends, whose upper surface is smooth and has low friction. The entire recessed surface of the catch is coated with a soft, sticky adhesive. The tips and edges create a gap between the adhesive and the surface, preventing it from coming into contact with the surfaces when the scoop is being handled. In this way, the shovel can freely make contact with other surfaces while simultaneously maximizing the exposure of the soft adhesive to insects, which are immediately trapped upon contact. No force is required. The insects trapped on the capture surface are then collected for disposal. This capture method allows insects to be captured in many circumstances and avoids the risk of forcefully captured insects impacting unsuitable places or of dead insects leaving stains or marks on impacted surfaces or materials.

Claims

1. A shovel for capturing insects, characterized in that it has a capturing surface with closely spaced elevations, either pointed or ridge-shaped, wherein the upper part of these elevations is coated with a non-adhesive coating while the remainder of the surface is coated with a soft, sticky, non-air-drying adhesive coating.

2. The shovel according to claim 1, characterized in that the capturing surface comprises two lateral zones and a transverse strip whose elevations are ridge-shaped, with parallel ridges; and a remaining zone where the elevations are pointed.

3. The shovel according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it is equipped with a handle to increase the reach and maneuverability of the shovel.
