Description

Cutting board with corner sharpener and mounting bracket TECHNICAL SECTOR The present invention falls within the field of kitchen utensils. In particular, it relates to food cutting boards that incorporate additional features designed to improve efficiency, stability, and ergonomics during culinary preparation. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Currently, cutting boards and knife sharpeners are sold as separate products. This forces users to have multiple utensils on their work surface, increasing space and reducing efficiency during food preparation. Similarly, conventional cutting boards can present stability problems during use, which is usually solved by incorporating non-slip feet or similar elements, which are not always effective or aesthetically suitable. On the other hand, in the 21st century, a growing trend in consumption habits has emerged, with many users choosing to replace knives when they become dull instead of using sharpening tools. This practice generates an unnecessary increase in waste and a greater environmental impact. No solution has been identified on the market that compactly integrates a cutting board with a knife sharpening system and an effective mechanism for attaching it to the countertop, highlighting the need for technical improvement in this area. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The invention consists of a wooden cutting board that integrates a knife sharpener and a system for attaching it to the countertop, providing a functional and compact solution. The sharpener is integrated into one of the corners of the board, preferably the upper right corner, secured with screws and protected by a rigid casing. This design allows the user to sharpen knives quickly and safely while preparing food, without the need for additional tools. Additionally, the board incorporates a right-angled edge on one of its lower sides, designed to fit over the edge of a countertop. This feature provides a stable base that prevents the board from shifting during use, improving safety and cutting precision. The top surface of the board features a perimeter channel designed to collect liquids generated during food cutting, helping to keep the work area clean. The invention offers the main advantages of integrating functions into a single product, improving stability during use, and optimizing kitchen space. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, a set of drawings is included as an integral part of said description, in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: • Figure 1.- Shows a top view of the cutting board, where the perimeter channel and the location of the sharpener with its protective casing can be seen. • Figure 2.- Shows a side view of the board, in which the lower right-angled edge for fixing to the edge of a countertop can be seen, as well as the integrated sharpener. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cutting board is made of wood. The knife sharpener is positioned in one of the upper corners of the board, preferably the upper right corner, and is secured to the board body with screws and protected by a rigid casing. This configuration ensures the sharpener's stability and the user's safety during use. The bottom edge of the board features a right-angled extension, sized to fit the edge of a standard countertop. This element acts as a fixing system, preventing the board from slipping during cutting operations. The upper surface incorporates a perimeter channel designed to collect the juices and liquids generated during food cutting. The invention is susceptible to industrial application in the manufacture of kitchen utensils, and can be produced by conventional machining and assembly processes.

Claims
