Description

Double-sided cutting tool OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention, as its title indicates, is a double-sided cutting tool. This innovation offers advantages previously unknown within current techniques. The present invention is characterized by the special functional and constructive characteristics of the elements that form part of the tool, so that all of them contribute to the achievement of a double-sided cutting utensil used for chopping, cutting and preparing ingredients, which protects work surfaces, such as tables or countertops, whose two sides allow to avoid cross-contamination. TECHNICAL SECTOR Therefore, the present invention falls within the scope of kitchen utensils and household goods. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION With reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, although various designs of tools for cutting food are known, the existence of any other that presents structural and constitutive technical characteristics equal or similar to those presented by the invention claimed herein is unknown. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION In the realm of modern cooking, the search for tools that combine functionality, safety, and efficiency is constant. In this context, the invention presents a double-sided cutting utensil as an innovative solution that meets the demands of both professional and amateur cooks by integrating multiple features that optimize food preparation tasks. Specifically, what the invention proposes, as noted above, is a double-sided cutting tool, made of a flexible material that stands out for its durability and ease of use. Silicone stands out as an exceptional material due to its unique properties. This compound, when of high purity, is characterized by being completely natural and food-safe. It contains no BPA, phthalates, or other potentially harmful substances, such as carcinogens or endocrine disruptors, guaranteeing its safety for health. It is durable and withstands high temperatures, making it suitable for appliances like ovens and dishwashers. Furthermore, it is free of microplastics that could leach into food. Its water-repellent nature and non-porous surface minimize the risk of the proliferation of microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi, promoting a more hygienic environment in the kitchen. These characteristics make silicone a reliable and sustainable option for this utensil. The flat design of the utensil's body contributes to its versatility and practicality, allowing for easy storage and comfortable handling. One of the utensil's most distinctive features is its flexibility combined with its double-sided design, which includes two functional surfaces: the first surface on one side and the second surface on the opposite side. Both surfaces are specially designed for tasks such as chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients with precision. This dual approach allows switching between surfaces according to the user's needs, reducing the need to use multiple tools during the preparation process, as well as preventing cross-contamination by facilitating the use of different foods on each side, minimizing the risk of cross-contamination between ingredients. This design not only improves efficiency in the kitchen, but also promotes safe and hygienic practices, fundamental aspects in any culinary environment. The utensil incorporates an additional feature that enhances its functionality: a perimeter groove on both surfaces. These grooves are designed to collect and accumulate any liquids that may be released from the food during the cutting or preparation process. At its ends, the utensil features handles designed to provide a comfortable and secure grip. These handles are thickened for easier handling, even when wet or slippery. Additionally, through-holes in the handles allow the utensil to be hung on hooks or racks, optimizing kitchen space. These holes also serve as extra points of support during use, enhancing user comfort. This utensil, designed with a flexible material, offers a practical and versatile solution for various kitchen tasks. Its foldable design allows the ends to be joined, facilitating storage in small spaces or hanging on racks, thus optimizing organization in the work area. Furthermore, its functional design allows for the easy and precise collection, transport, and placement of cut or prepared food, adapting to the user's needs. This practical approach not only improves efficiency in culinary activities but also helps maintain a clean and organized environment. The combination of flexibility and utility makes this utensil an indispensable tool for those seeking to simplify processes without compromising quality or functionality. Unless otherwise stated, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the meanings commonly understood by a person skilled in the art to which this invention pertains. Similar or equivalent procedures and materials to those described herein may be used in the practice of this invention. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complete the description being made and in order to aid in a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, this descriptive report is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by figures in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1 is a perspective representation of the double-sided cutting tool. Figure 2 is a perspective representation of the double-sided cutting tool seen from the opposite face to that shown in Figure 1. Figure 3 is a cross-sectional representation of the double-sided tool for detailed cuts at one end. Figure 4 is a perspective cross-sectional representation of the double-sided tool for detailed cutting at one end. Figure 5 is a representation of the double-sided cutting tool folded along the edges being used. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of the figures, a preferred, though not limiting, embodiment of the proposed invention is described below, which consists of a double-sided cutting tool. As can be seen in the figures, the double-sided cutting tool comprises a flat body (1) made of a flexible material such as silicone that guarantees durability and ease of use. The body (1) of the utensil comprises two functional surfaces: a first surface (2) on one face of the utensil and a second surface (3) located on the opposite face. Both surfaces (2 and 3) are specifically designed to perform tasks such as chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients with precision. Additionally, the double-sided cutting utensil includes a perimeter groove (4) on both surfaces (2 and 3). These grooves (4) are designed to collect and accumulate any liquids that may be released from the food during the cutting or preparation process. Furthermore, the double-sided cutting tool has handles (5) at its ends that have been thickened to provide a comfortable and secure grip. In addition, the handles (5) have through holes (6) that allow the tool to be hung for storage and enable the user to grip the double-sided cutting tool. Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to make its explanation more extensive so that any expert in the field may understand its scope and the advantages that derive from it, it being noted that, within its essentiality, it may be put into practice in other modes of embodiment that differ in detail from the one indicated as an example, and which will also achieve the protection sought provided that its fundamental principle is not altered, changed or modified.
