Abstract
Description
Mobile speed bump for traffic lanes with LED lighting Object of the invention The present invention relates to a mobile speed reducer for traffic lanes with LED lighting, which can be placed on roads, streets or similar in order to reduce the speed of cars and illuminate those dark areas where streetlights are lacking, with the advantage that it is installed above the asphalt. Technology sector Speed bumps. Illuminated speed bump. Background of the invention In the current state of the art, various devices exist designed to reduce or limit the speed of vehicles traveling on public roads in order to ensure, as far as possible, the safety of people, whether they are occupants of the vehicles themselves or those walking on public roads as pedestrians, public works personnel, delivery drivers, etc. They are usually installed due to the need to reduce traffic speed in one or more directions for various reasons: the presence of pedestrian zones, schools, or areas with high pedestrian traffic. They can be constructed of asphalt, cement (concrete), rubber, or metal. There are also rumble strips, which allow vehicles to travel at higher speeds (40 to 60 km / h). These are only used to draw the driver's attention to something located a little further ahead (a toll booth, a sharp curve, a rural school, or an area with heavy pedestrian traffic). Currently, existing speed bumps can be classified into two categories: conventional ones, which are those that are placed on the surface of the road and have a raised section of invariable height and shape, and non-conventional speed bumps, which are those that, based on more or less innovative principles, provide alternative solutions to conventional speed bumps. Conventional speed bumps are low-cost and low-maintenance, but they present the following two fundamental problems, inherent to their design as permanent barriers: being of fixed geometry, they always pose an obstacle on the roadway, even when they are not needed to act as such (for example, when the driver respects the speed limits, when an emergency vehicle is passing and should not be obstructed, etc.). Furthermore, they sometimes impede traffic so much in some sections that it discourages their installation, which can represent a very high danger in certain situations (for example, during school drop-off and pick-up times, as demonstrated by pedestrian accident statistics). Furthermore, they have the disadvantage of continuing to cause considerable shaking in vehicles, even if they respect the speed of the road they are on, with the consequent deterioration of various vehicle components, mainly the suspension. The installation of this type of speed reducer is becoming more and more common, so there is a need to improve them, reduce their costs, simplify their mechanical complexity as well as increase their reliability. In the prior art, utility model E1069402U discloses an automatic speed reducer with speed detectors, consisting of a parallelepiped-shaped underground chassis positioned perpendicular to the roadway or lane, with its upper surface flush with the pavement. Along this surface, flush with it and parallel to its edges, is a cam piece separated from them by plates that complete the cover. It is articulated to the chassis by an eccentric axis, allowing it to rotate, causing an edge with its faces to protrude from both the chassis and the pavement. Stops protect it in both the raised and lowered positions. Several parallel units can be articulated together and powered by the same motor or by individual motors. The motor and its mechanism can be direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC), electric with a hydraulic pressure pump, pneumatic, electromagnetic, or powered by mains water pressure, etc. Also in the technical specifications, utility model ES1078282U discloses a prefabricated speed bump consisting of a flat, rectangular body made of cast iron and composed of as many homogeneous sections joined together as necessary to cover the width of the roadway. Side covers are placed at both ends of the flat rectangular body. These side covers are composed of a convexly rounded rectangular body divided longitudinally into two distinct sections. One of these sections contains rectangular transverse grooves perpendicular to the other section, which serve as a non-slip surface. The other section consists of an inclined plane with only one groove perpendicular to those of the other section, leaving it free for the visible placement of any type of signage. To improve the visibility of these speed bumps, rectangular windows housing LEDs or reflectors have been installed in both the side covers and the uniform sections. The rectangular windows feature a smaller, rectangular drainage channel. The side covers and uniform sections are joined together by flaps parallel to one side, which fit into the adjacent body. The present invention discloses a speed bump or hump that includes a plurality of LED lights for use in dark or poorly lit areas. It can be installed above the asphalt surface without the need for special construction work, thus improving the safety of both pedestrians and drivers. Being movable, the speed bump can be removed when visibility is sufficient. None of the documents have identified a speed reducer that can be installed on the road in such a way that it is both luminous and mobile, allowing it to be used particularly in dark areas or areas without streetlights or other luminous elements around it, thus increasing road safety. Description of the drawings To complement the description being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred example of its practical embodiment, a set of drawings is included as an integral part of said description, in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1 shows an overview of the mobile speed reducer (1) of the present invention, where it can be seen that it has the shape of a trapezoidal prism with base (2), width (3) and height (4) with an upper surface (5), where a plate (6) (dotted line) has been inserted with a number of LED lights (7) distributed uniformly below said upper surface (5), which allows it to be illuminated. Figure 2 shows a front view of the mobile speed reducer (1), where the arrangement of the plate (6) with the plurality of LED lights (7) arranged below the upper surface of the mobile speed reducer (1) can be seen. Preferred embodiment of the invention The present invention discloses a mobile speed reducer that includes lighting by means of an LED panel, which allows it to be placed at those points on tracks which require an increase in their lighting. The mobile speed reducer is shaped like an elongated trapezoidal prism. The upper surface of this prism is illuminated by rigid LED panels located inside. The speed reducer is manufactured from approximately 90% translucent, unsaturated polyester resin with a UV-protective coating and an abrasive finish that prevents slippage. The mobile speed reducer with lighting (1) is in the form of a trapezoidal prism with a base (2), width (3), and height (4), and a top surface (5) into which a plate (6) is inserted. A plurality of LEDs (7) are uniformly distributed beneath this top surface (5), illuminating it because it is made of a translucent material. The mobile speed reducer with lighting (1) is powered by a 24 V current and internally includes the necessary electrical components to connect to an external power source that illuminates the LED plate (6). The base (2) of the speed bump measures between 300 and 600 mm, the height (4) between 15 and 30 mm, and the width (3) approximately 500 mm. The entry height to the speed bump is less than 3 mm, thus reducing both the acoustic impact and the effect on the tire itself. A series of movable speed bumps (1) like the one of the present invention can be installed on any roadway, such as streets, highways, or similar surfaces, making it particularly useful in dark areas or areas lacking streetlights or other illumination, thereby increasing road safety.
