Description

Adjustable sofa lifting device TECHNICAL SECTOR The present invention relates to a lifting device for divan beds, of the type that allows the mattress support element to be lifted with respect to the complementary storage compartment. The object of the invention is to obtain a unified device, that is, a device that is valid for any type of sofa, regardless of the dimensions and weight of said support element, offering an adjustable character that allows increasing the range of supported weights without having to resort to more powerful pistons, in addition to making it easier for the person who assembles the sofa. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION As is well known, divan beds are structured with a storage compartment, designed to rest on the floor, open at the top, and supported by a kind of lid that forms the mattress support element. To allow access to the interior of the storage compartment, this lid or support element is mounted on it with the help of a pair of side hinges. Each hinge forms a deformable quadrilateral made up of articulated arms, one of which is attached to the corresponding side of the storage compartment, another to the underside of the lid or support element, and the other two are positioned between the first two, joined to them by a hinge. In this way, by pulling upwards on the mattress support element, at its opposite end from the aforementioned hinges, the lid is lifted and tilted, facilitating access to the inside of the storage compartment. To facilitate this maneuver, each hinge is also equipped with a gas piston, hydraulic or electric actuator, so that the special arrangement of said piston with respect to the rest of the hinge, facilitates on the one hand the lifting of the lid and on the other hand keeps it stable in the open position. This solution, perfectly valid from a theoretical point of view, presents in practice the problems derived from the substantial dimensional differences that exist between different divan beds, which translate into substantially different weights of the lid or support element, with its complementary mattress, which in practice forces, keeping the geometry of the hinge constant, the use of gas pistons of different forces, the stronger the greater the weight of the support element with its complementary mattress. This forces manufacturers to keep multiple references in stock, creates possibilities of error in the assembly phase when choosing the correct or incorrect piston, generates multiple combinations depending on different models, measurements, etc., and consequently complicates the manufacture and on-site assembly of the divan beds in general, in addition to not being able to adapt to other requirements, for example, when changing a mattress of a very different weight, or between seasons due to the bedding. Trying to circumvent this problem, the applicant himself is the holder of utility model ES 1065786 U, which describes a lifting device for divan beds that incorporates, corresponding to each side of the divan bed, a hinge materialized in a deformable quadrilateral, based on four articulated arms, between two of which a gas piston is established, also articulated at its ends to them, where the said gas piston, which at its lower end is articulated to the more oblique arm that relates the arm attached to the divan bed frame with the arm corresponding to the lid or support element of the mattress, is in turn joined to this upper arm through an adjustment zone in which a longitudinal alignment of holes is established that can be used unitarily and selectively for fixing the gas piston,Therefore, depending on the chosen hole, the piston supplies a different force to the hinge. However, in this device the articulation point of the connecting rods is invariable, which limits the degree of adjustment of the mechanism. At the same time, these types of mechanisms are difficult to adjust or regulate once installed to find the optimal point of application of the piston ends, so it would be desirable to have a solution that allows a faster and simpler adjustment of said piston when testing different configurations. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The proposed adjustable sofa bed lifting device fully and satisfactorily resolves the aforementioned problem, based on a simple yet highly effective solution, allowing a significant expansion of the weight range supported by the mechanism, thanks to its adjustable capacity. To this end, and more specifically, based on the structure described above, the device of the invention focuses its characteristics on the fact that the upper angular profile includes multiple points for selective application of both the free end of the piston rod and the connecting rod opposite said piston, which allows, to offer different torques, as well as generate different articulated quadrilaterals according to the specific needs of each case, all without having to change said piston for a more powerful one. In a first embodiment of the invention, the upper angular profile will include two pairs of hole alignments corresponding to the application points of the aforementioned free end of the piston rod as well as the articulation point of the opposite and smaller connecting rod. This smaller connecting rod can also be positionally adjusted by its lower end with respect to the lower arm of the quadrilateral, the latter having at one of its ends an alignment of holes that can be selectively used as an articulation point for said connecting rod. Similarly, the larger connecting rod will also include several holes in which to selectively apply the pivot point of the other end of the piston. In a second embodiment of the mechanism of the invention, the holes in which the upper end of the piston rod was selectively adjustable are replaced by an alignment of sawtooth-shaped "U" notches, which define seats in which the end of the piston rod can be housed, thus allowing its positioning to be adjusted manually, without the need for tools. This structure is repeated for the application zone of the opposite end of the piston, in the application and articulation zone on the larger connecting rod. This achieves maximum versatility in assembly for the mechanism of the invention, allowing it to be adapted to a wider range of situations. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description that follows and to aid in a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is included as an integral part of said description, in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1 shows a side perspective view of an adjustable sofa lifting device made according to the object of the present invention, in the deployed position. Figure 2 shows a view similar to that of Figure 1, but in which the device appears folded. Figure 3 shows a perspective view of a second variant of the device of the invention, in its deployed position. Figure 4 shows, finally, an enlarged profile detail of the mechanism in Figure 3 at the level of the adjustable positioning means for the piston. Figure 5 shows an enlarged detail of a simpler implementation variant than that shown in Figures 2 and 3. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of the figures described, it can be observed how the device proposed by the invention is applicable to a conventional sofa bed in which a storage compartment (1) of any appropriate size participates, which is complemented by a lid (4) in the function of a support element for the mattress, not represented, the storage compartment (1) and the lid (4) being related by means of a pair of lateral hinges assisted by respective gas pistons (7). As is also conventional, each hinge is materialized in a deformable quadrilateral based on an upper profile (3) that is screwed to the lower or inner face of the lid (4), a lower arm (2) that in turn is fixed to the corresponding side of the chest (1), and two other arms or connecting rods, larger and smaller (5-6) related to the upper profile and the lower arm, with the piston (7) being articulated between the larger connecting rod (5) and the upper profile (3). In a first embodiment of the invention, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, it has been provided that the point of application of the lower end of the piston (7) can be selectively adjusted at its point of application on the larger connecting rod (5), the latter having for this purpose a series of holes (8) that can be selectively used. The other end of the piston will also be applied selectively to a plurality of holes (8) provided at one end of the upper profile (3). In parallel, it has been planned that the smaller connecting rod can also be adjusted at its point of application and articulation with respect to both the upper profile (3) and the lower arm (2), these having in correspondence with the application area of the ends of said connecting rod two groups of selective use holes (8 and 8). This way, maximum versatility in assembly for the mechanism is achieved, according to the specific needs of each case. According to a second embodiment of the invention, shown in Figures 3 and 4, since the relative positioning of the piston (7) can vary depending on the force required to be applied, that is, it can be regulated or "fine-tuned" according to subjective criteria (making more or less effort in said maneuvers), achieving the perfect point may involve having to try several different piston assemblies, which requires repeated assembly and disassembly, a maneuver that is slow and laborious. To simplify and facilitate this relative change of application points, it has been provided that the application holes of both ends of the piston (7) on the upper profile (3) and the major connecting rod (5) are replaced by an alignment of sawtooth "U" shaped notches (8iv and 8v), which determine seats in which the ends of the piston can be housed, thus allowing the adjustment of its positioning manually, without the need for tools. In the embodiment variant of figure 5, the number of saw teeth (8iv) has been reduced to offer a simpler product, establishing a lower appendage (9) that determines an open groove for insertion of the upper end of the piston (7), preventing its accidental removal if an attempt is made to open the mechanism to a greater angle than intended. Finally, it should be noted that the device will be accompanied by tables that, based on weight, dimensions and other parameters, recommend a specific application point for each case.
