Description

Improved ham clamping device TECHNICAL SECTOR The present invention relates to a device that has been specially designed to facilitate the hanging and unhanging of hams, including selective hanging means that allow varying the final height at which the ham is hung, in order to align it with other hanging hams. The object of the invention is therefore to provide an element that allows the hanging height of the hams to be regulated so that they are positioned in the most aesthetic way possible, all with a simpler solution to use and with less effort. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In the field of practical application of the invention, traditionally the hanging of hams is carried out using a butcher's hook and a rope tied to the ham. To do this, you have to tie a string to the end of the ham closest to the hoof and make a knot to insert the butcher's hook so that you can hang it on the support provided for this purpose. If you want to hang the hams at a certain height so that the ends of the hams are aligned, you would have to make and unmake knots until you achieve that linearity, which is a cumbersome task that requires time and effort because the knots, with the weight of the ham, get tighter. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The proposed ham-holding device fully and satisfactorily resolves the aforementioned problem, based on a simple yet effective solution that avoids the use of ropes, preventing the need to tie and untie knots, and allowing the hanging height of the ham to be varied at will as many times as necessary with hardly any effort. To this end, and more specifically, the device of the invention consists of a textile or plastic tape with a section containing a plurality of transverse holes for selective hanging. A means of joining the ends of the tape forms a closed loop. Since these holes are not perforated in the tape itself, they prevent it from tearing or deforming due to the tension exerted by the weight of the ham. A conventional knot is then tied around the ham shank using the section of tape without holes, making the knot tighter and easier to tie. Once the device is attached to the ham, it can be hung on a standard butcher's hook. Depending on the length of the ham, different hanging holes along the tape can be used. This results in a device that allows hams to be hung with a simple, quick maneuver and with hardly any effort. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description that follows and to aid in a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is included as an integral part of said description, in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1 shows a front perspective view of an improved ham clamping device made in accordance with the object of the present invention. Figure 2 shows a view of the device applied to a ham and the corresponding butcher's hook. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION As shown in the figures, the device of the invention consists of a strip (1) joined at its ends by stitching (3) to form a closed loop. A section of this strip has a row of transverse holes (4) for the selective passage of a conventional hook (9) of the type used in butcher shops for hanging hams (8) on a bar (10) or similar element. The section of strip with transverse holes (4) is made by overlapping and stitching a strip (5) onto the strip (1), which includes unstitched sections that define the respective transverse holes (4). The device's straps can be made of textile or plastic material. The tapes of the device in this example incorporate graphic elements of an informative or advertising nature. As can be seen in figure 2, the user will make a knot around the ham shank, being able to select the hole (4) that he considers most convenient according to the height at which he wants to hang the ham, being able to vary that height when more hams are hung with the same system, so that they are as aligned as possible.
