Abstract
Description
Clip for plant staking TECHNICAL SECTOR The present invention relates to a clip for supporting plants, in order to prevent the breakage of their stems as they grow due to the weight that the plant acquires together with its fruits as it grows. The object of the invention is to prevent the breakage of certain plant stems, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, zucchini, vines, etc., plants that are guided in their growth by means of trellising using raffia ropes, both vertical and horizontal. The device of the invention allows for optimal adjustment of the raffia strips in groups of four, which provides greater stability and load distribution compared to conventional two-raffia systems. The device of the invention is applicable to a wide variety of crop types, both in greenhouses and outdoors. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION As is well known, the stems of certain horticultural plants break very easily, a fact exacerbated by the weight of the fruit. Therefore, the use of plant supports is essential to facilitate cultivation and improve ventilation. In the use of vertical raffia supports, a pair of parallel vertical threads are placed between which the main branch of the plant is placed, so that these threads do not separate due to the weight of the plant, they are combined with a series of clips that are placed at different heights, and which consists of an elongated laminar body with two holes, one at each end through which two raffia threads are passed, limiting the lateral displacement between threads. This task is laborious, since the threads must be threaded through the holes in the clip, which is a tedious job. At the same time, it should be noted that the reality is that for plants of a certain size this system is not very stable, so it is necessary to constantly adjust these clips, with the consequent labor costs that this entails, which has led to the use of four raffia ties per branch to be stabilized. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The recommended plant support clip is intended to be implanted on four-strand raffia supports, ensuring perfect equidistance between the strands at the points where it is applied, thus improving the stability of the plants during their supported growth. To this end, and more specifically, the device of the invention is made from a laminar body, preferably made of plastic to resist moisture, which can have different configurations according to different design lines without affecting the essence of the invention, such as circular, quadrangular, rectangular, cross-shaped, polygonal, etc., and which in any case includes four holes near its perimeter edges, for the passage and stabilization of the four raffia ropes, holes which are easily accessed through two divergent end notches, whose final access end to the raffia stabilization hole has a width less than the diameter of said rope, so that it accesses said hole by elastic deformation of the piece, so that once coupled its accidental uncoupling is practically impossible. Based on the distribution and spacing of the four holes, a pattern will be generated for the four raffia ropes used in the trellising, preventing them from separating due to the weight of the plant, which could cause it to deviate from the intended growth direction, reducing its productivity. According to another feature of the invention, since the operating surface of the device is concentrated on its perimeter edge, the central surface of the same could be affected by a central hole or window that allows light to pass through it, so that the device interrupts the least possible light for the growth of the plants to be supported. In this way we achieve more efficient enturing, considerably reducing the labor involved during the life of the crop. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS To complement the description that follows and to aid in a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is included as an integral part of said description, in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1 shows a plan view of a clip for plant trellising made according to the object of the present invention. Figure 2 shows a plan view of a second embodiment of the device of the invention. Figure 3 shows a plan view of a third embodiment of the device of the invention. Figure 4 shows a plan view of a fourth embodiment of the device of the invention. Figure 5 shows, finally, a perspective view of the device of the invention in its operating position. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of the figures described, it can be observed that the plant support clip of the invention is made from a laminar body (1), preferably of plastic nature, without ruling out other materials or combinations thereof that offer resistance to moisture and an elastically deformable behavior, laminar body (1) which in the embodiment of figure 1 has a quadrangular configuration, with rounded vertices so as not to damage the adjacent plants, but which could adopt other configurations such as the rectangular one of figure 2, the circular one of figure 3, in the shape of a cross, as shown in figure 4 or polygonal, without this affecting the essence of the invention. In either case, the sheet body (1) includes near its perimeter edges, corresponding to its vertices if it is polygonal, four holes (2) with a diameter according to the diameter of the raffia ropes (3) used in the staking of the stems (4) of the plants to be staking, which are distributed around the main stem to balance it and guide it in its growth according to the direction in which said raffia ropes (3) are arranged, in the example of embodiment arranged vertically, although they can also be used for horizontal staking. To facilitate the passage of the raffia (3) through the holes (2), it has been provided that they include a constricted notch (5) that connects the outer edge of the device with the respective hole (2) through a constricted passage of lesser width than the diameter of the raffia, which implies having to make a small elastic deformation for said coupling, which prevents the accidental removal of the raffia from the device once installed. As previously stated, and as shown in Figure 3, the central area of the main body (1) may optionally include a large window (6) that allows light to pass through the device, generating minimal shadows on the plant. This window or opening may be either closed, as in Figures 3 and 4, or open on one side of the device, without affecting the essence of the invention. In short, it is an economical and easy-to-install and adjust accessory along the length of the raffia, allowing for optimal stability of the assembly, avoiding the need to constantly adjust the clip as happens with trellising systems based on only two raffia per branch.
