Description

Elevator maintenance platform system Technology sector The present invention relates to an elevator maintenance platform system, which increases the safety of existing procedures. Background of the invention ES2208293 describes a type of elevator maintenance platform that deploys from the ceiling. This type of platform has a lid, hinged to the ceiling, which opens to allow the operator to work on the exterior of the elevator, from the top, but from inside the elevator. The platform hinges at one end of the lid, and when in use, it remains horizontal to support the operator. Thus, the worker stands on the platform inside the elevator and can extend part of their body outside. This ensures the worker has a place to take refuge in case of an unexpected elevator movement. This system requires the lid-platform joint to withstand a great mechanical stress, as it supports the weight of the operator and their material from one edge of the platform. Explanation of the invention The invention relates to an elevator maintenance platform system that increases safety during elevator maintenance processes in cases where shaft dimensions are unusually small. The elevator maintenance platform system comprises an elevator car with a roof in which an opening with a cover is defined. A first edge of the cover is attached to the edge of the opening by a first hinge, while a second edge, opposite the first edge, is attached to a first end of a platform by a second hinge. In this way, the platform is movable between a folded position, attached to the cover when the opening is closed, and an extended position in which the platform is inside the car in a substantially horizontal position. The platform has a second end, opposite the first end, connected to the roof by one or more flexible, threaded tensioners, such as a cable, strap, or chain. In one embodiment, each tensioner is attached to a collection roller, preferably on the ceiling so as not to affect the use of the platform. Ideally, the platform includes a folding ladder so that the operator does not need to carry it. Brief description of the figures To complete the description, this descriptive report is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by a set of drawings in which the following has been represented: Figure 1 shows a perspective view of an example of the platform in the folded position. Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the previous example at the beginning of its opening, held by a chain. Figure 3 shows a perspective view of the previous example of the platform in the open position. Preferred embodiment of the invention The example of a platform system shown in the figures is an elevator car, with a roof (2) in which an opening (3) is defined by a lid (4). A first edge (41) of the lid (4) is joined by a first hinge (43) to the edge of the opening (3). The lid (4) has a closure (5) on its edge, generally on a second edge (42) opposite the first edge (41). Thanks to this first hinge (43), the lid (4) can be arranged in a folded position, closing the opening (3), or in an extended position (Figure 2) in which it is inserted into the car, in an approximately vertical position. In this extended position, the second edge (42) is separated from the roof (2) by several tens of centimeters, for example, 1 meter. The lid (4) has a second hinge (44) at a point near the second edge (42) of the lid (4). This second hinge (44) supports a work platform (5). This platform (5), in the deployed position of the system, is substantially horizontal. In the folded position, it is folded down onto the lid (4), so that it passes through the opening (3) without protruding outside the cab from the top. A folding ladder (6) allows access to the deployed platform (5). The platform (5) has a first end (51) that is attached to the second joint (44) and a second end (52) opposite the first end (51) and where the folding ladder (6) is usually located. This second end (52) is attached to the cab roof (2) by one or more flexible, thread-like tensioners (7) (cables, chains). The length of the tensioners (7) is calculated so that they remain taut when the platform system is deployed. The tensioners (7) may be retracted onto rollers (not visible) in the roof (2) shown in the figures, so that during the folding motion they retract to prevent them from protruding over the edge of the cover (4) where they could be pinched. Depending on the position of the ends of the tensioners (7), it may be necessary to release them again in the final folding phase. The material of the tensioners (7) will generally be steel. As a safety measure, a damper (8) can be provided for the deployment of the cover (4), and more optionally for the platform (5), generally formed by two hydraulic cylinders, to prevent the cover (4) or the platform (5) from being deployed in an uncontrolled manner. It may also be desirable to incorporate a chain (9), strap, or other flexible element, similar to the tensioners (7) but shorter in length. Thus, the initial deployment is carried out up to the length of this flexible element, and can only continue when the operator disconnects it from the cover (4) (including the platform (5)) or from the roof (2). This safety measure also prevents uncontrolled deployment on the operator, whether when opening the closures (45), if these fail, or if the operator fails to properly close the lid (4) when returning it to its position.
