Abstract

An end effector includes a distal fork, a shaft mounted on the distal fork, a first jaw support and its corresponding jaw member rotatably mounted to the shaft, and a second jaw support and its corresponding jaw member rotatably mounted to the shaft. A sleeve shaft has a first end, a second end, and a central channel extending between them. The shaft is housed within the central channel, and the sleeve shaft is rotatable about the shaft.
