Abstract

A battery diagnostic apparatus, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a discharge part electrically connected to the battery and configured to discharge it; an X-ray diffraction analysis part configured to emit X-rays towards several negative electrode tabs included in the battery and generate a graphite profile for each of them from the emitted X-rays; and a control part configured to determine the charge / discharge behavior of each of the negative electrode tabs from the generated graphite profiles and diagnose the battery condition based on said behavior.
