Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a door hinge according to the preamble of claim 1, comprising a first and a second fastening part and at least one hinge bracket which pivotably connects the fastening parts to one another via a pivot axis, wherein the first fastening part has a receiving block on which the hinge bracket is rotatably mounted at a first end, and wherein the receiving block is adjustably arranged in a base frame of the first fastening part in a first direction parallel to the pivot axis, wherein the receiving block is positively locked to the base frame in a second direction via at least one positive locking feature, wherein the base frame has at least one groove extending along the first direction into which the at least one positive locking feature engages, wherein the groove has a greater length than the length of the positive locking feature to form a sliding fit.
[0002] A generic prior art is known, for example, from DE 10 2015 120 542 B3. According to this patent, a door hinge is provided in which a so-called pressure adjustment is enabled by attaching the pivot bracket required for pivoting to a mounting block that can be moved relative to a base frame. For this purpose, elongated holes are provided in which a screw head of an adjusting element is positively guided, and whereby, after loosening the adjusting elements, a relative movement of the two fastening parts can be effected. After reaching an optimal position, the adjusting elements can then be tightened again and the position locked. Generic door hinges are also known from DE 20 2010 010 645 U1, EP 2 110 502 A2, CN 201 363 034 Y and CN 103 498 609 A.
[0003] This design has generally proven effective. However, adjusting the mounting block within the base frame of the fastening element is only possible if the locking mechanisms are released. This, however, causes the mounting block to tilt due to the weight of the door leaf, thus preventing adjustment of the
[0004] Fastening components to each other is made more difficult or may even be prevented. At the same time, the load of the door leaf must be absorbed to a certain extent by the adjusting mechanisms when locking, which means the adjusting mechanisms are subjected to high loads.
[0005] Against this background, the present invention aims to provide a door hinge which, compared to door hinges known from the prior art, is characterized by an improved adjustment function and can at the same time be mounted in a simple manner.
[0006] The invention relates to a door hinge according to claim 1. The door hinge is characterized in that the groove is formed as an opening in the base frame. Within the scope of the invention, a second direction preferably refers to the direction which, in a closed state of the door hinge, runs perpendicular to both fastening parts. Accordingly, this is the direction in which, by means of the positive locking mechanism, a vertical tilting of the fastening parts relative to each other due to the load of the door leaf can be prevented.
[0007] Furthermore, the base frame has at least one groove extending along the first direction, into which at least one positive-locking feature engages. The groove, to form a sliding fit, has a greater length than the length of the positive-locking feature. The length of the groove extends along the first direction, thereby allowing adjustment of the receiving block within the base frame of the first fastening element. Simultaneously, the positive-locking feature rests positively in the groove with respect to the second direction, thus forming a sliding fit in the first direction and enabling positive retention in the second direction. During adjustment or movement of the receiving block within the base frame, the receiving block cannot tilt relative to the base frame, as it is held in place by the positive-locking features in the groove and the base frame.
[0008] The groove is formed in the form of an opening in the base frame, whereby an opening within the scope of the invention means that the groove extends completely through the base frame or has a depth that corresponds to the material thickness of the base frame at this point.
[0009] Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the groove is formed in a lateral wall of the base frame. According to a particularly preferred embodiment, this occurs at a transition to a rear wall.
[0010] To ensure the most uniform support possible for the mounting block within the base frame, it is preferably provided that at least two positive-locking projections are included, one providing support in an upper region and the other in a lower region of the fastening element. This refers to the typical installation situation of the door hinge, so that the upper and lower sections relate to the first, or vertical, direction. Such support can be achieved, for example, by providing two positive-locking projections. Alternatively, the positive-locking projection can extend over a relatively long area within the guide groove, so that both the guide groove and the positive-locking projection have a comparatively large extent in the first direction.
[0011] Preferably, the receiving block has at least two grooves, each with a positive-locking feature of the receiving block engaging. The two grooves are typically spaced apart in a first direction, with the distance being between 40 and 70 mm, preferably between 50 and 60 mm. The grooves themselves each have a length of between 8 and 20 mm, preferably between 12 and 16 mm.
[0012] As previously explained, the grooves, in combination with the positive locking element(s), form a sliding fit, allowing the relative position of the receiving block in the base frame to be adjusted in a first direction. Against this background, the positive locking elements are designed with a length along the first direction that is shorter than the length of the groove in which the corresponding positive locking element engages. The difference between the length of the groove and the length of the positive locking element then essentially constitutes the maximum possible adjustment range. It is, of course, also within the scope of the invention that the actual adjustment range is shorter than the maximum adjustment range determined by the design of the groove and the positive locking element. According to a preferred embodiment, the positive locking element has a length between 5 and 10 mm, preferably between 6 and 8 mm.
[0013] To lock the mounting block in the base frame, locking means are preferably provided, preferably at least one screw connection. This screw connection allows the mounting block to be positively attached to the base frame. Generally, one screw connection is sufficient. However, two screw connections are preferably provided, one in the upper section and one in the lower section of the base frame. To adjust the mounting block in a first direction, these screw connections are loosened until the mounting block rests against the base frame without binding. The positive connection between the mounting block and the base frame prevents the mounting block from tilting. The mounting block is then adjusted to the desired position and locked in place by tightening the screw connection(s).
[0014] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the receiving block has at least one elongated slot in which the screw connection is guided in a non-locked state along the first direction. Accordingly, the elongated slot provides a kind of positive guidance for the screw connection, the length of which is dimensioned to allow the desired adjustment range. The screw connection is at least partially arranged in the elongated slot, and the maximum possible adjustment range is determined by the length of the elongated slot and the diameter of the portion of the screw connection located in the elongated slot. In principle, the difference between the length of the elongated slot and the diameter of the screw head can correspond to the difference between the groove length and the length of the positive locking feature. An alternative embodiment, however, provides for a smaller difference between the length of the elongated hole and the screw head. Furthermore, the elongated hole is preferably designed such that movement of the screw connection within the elongated hole is only possible in a first direction when it is not locked. Lateral adjustment in a third direction is prevented by ensuring that the width of the elongated hole is essentially the same as the diameter of the screw connection, although a certain tolerance must, of course, be factored in to ensure that the screw connection can be guided smoothly and without binding in the elongated hole.If a total of two or more screw connections are provided for locking the mounting block, this also applies accordingly to the number of elongated holes, wherein preferably one elongated hole is provided in an upper and a lower section of the mounting block, via which the mounting block can then be locked in an upper and a lower section of the base frame.
[0015] Furthermore, a preferred embodiment is one in which the receiving block is stepped, so that the lower and upper sections of the receiving block project in a second direction relative to a central section.
[0016] The articulated bracket can generally be attached directly to the mounting block. However, according to a preferred embodiment, an upper and a lower mounting element are detachably attached to the mounting block, with at least one articulated bracket being rotatably mounted on the mounting elements. This embodiment has the advantage that, during assembly, the articulated bracket can first be positioned between the mounting elements and then attached, together with the articulated bracket, to the respective mounting part.
[0017] Although an embodiment with only one hinge bracket is sufficient within the scope of the invention, the invention is not limited to such an embodiment. For example, it is conceivable that an articulated bracket arrangement is provided consisting of two articulated brackets rotatably relative to each other, with both articulated brackets then being mounted at least rotatably on the receiving elements.
[0018] The invention further relates to a door comprising a leaf and a door frame, as well as a hinge according to the invention which pivotably connects the door leaf to the frame. According to this embodiment, it is preferably provided that the fastening elements are each inserted in a recess in the narrow side of the door leaf and a jamb side of the door frame.
[0019] Depending on the design and weight of the door leaf, several hinges may be arranged between the door leaf and the door frame. Preferably, at least one upper and one lower hinge are provided. However, in the case of a particularly heavy door leaf, three or more hinges may be used.
[0020] The invention will now be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment. The figures shown are: Fig. 1 the door hinge according to the invention in an isometric view Fig. 2 a detail view of the first fastening part Fig. 3 a top view of the essential components of the first fastening part Fig. 4 a side view of the base frame and the receiving block of the first fastening part.
[0021] The Fig. 1 Figure 1 shows the door hinge according to the invention with a first fastening part 1 and a second fastening part 2, wherein the first fastening part 1 is designed to be inserted into a recess in a jamb side of a door frame and the second fastening part 2 into a recess in a narrow side of a door leaf. This results in a concealed arrangement of the door hinge between the door leaf and the door frame, whereby the components of the door hinge are not visible from the outside when the door is closed. This also applies to the pivot axes via which the fastening parts 1 and 2 can be pivoted relative to each other.
[0022] To pivot the mounting parts 1, 2 relative to each other, a hinged bracket assembly is provided, consisting of a first hinged bracket 3 and a second hinged bracket 4, which are rotatably connected to each other via an axis Z aligned parallel to the first direction X. Furthermore, the two hinged brackets 3, 4 are rotatably connected to the mounting parts 1, 2, with the second hinged bracket 4 being rotatably mounted and the first hinged bracket 3 being rotatably and longitudinally displaceably mounted in the second mounting part 2. The second hinged bracket 4 also consists of two hinged bracket sections rotatably connected to each other, with a first hinged bracket section mounted in the first and a second hinged bracket section mounted in the second mounting part 1, 2.
[0023] For connecting the joint brackets 3, 4, both fastening parts 1, 2 each provide an upper receiving element 5a, 5b and a lower receiving element 6a, 6b, which are detachably arranged on the fastening parts 1, 2.
[0024] Within the scope of the invention, the design of the fastening part 1 is of particular importance, which is shown in an isolated view in the Fig. 2 The illustration clearly shows that the fastening element 1 essentially comprises four detachably connected components. First, a base frame 7 is provided, which can be attached to the door leaf via recesses 8. The base frame 7 forms a kind of housing to which the other components are attached. A receiving block 9 is arranged in a receiving space of the base frame 7, which consists of an upper section 10, a lower section 11, and a middle section 12. It is thus a single-piece component, which is fixed to the base frame 7 via screw connections 13. It should be noted that the illustration according to the Fig. 2 Only the connecting fasteners in the upper half of the illustrated fastening part 1 are shown, so that the screw connection 13 is provided not only in the upper but also in the lower half.
[0025] To allow the mounting block 9 to be adjusted along a first direction X, the screw connection 13(s) is guided in a first elongated hole 14, which has an elongated shape in the first direction X and whose length is decisive for the possible adjustment range. The mounting elements 5, 6 are also attached to the mounting block 9 via a second screw connection 15 through a second elongated hole 16, the second elongated hole 16 extending in a third direction Z, thus enabling adjustment in the third direction Z.
[0026] The special feature of the first fastening part 1 lies in the way in which the mounting block 9 is held to the base frame 7. This is particularly evident from a comparative view with the Figuren 3 and 4 highlighting, whereby the Fig. 3 The essential components of the first fastening part 1, namely the base frame 7, the mounting block 9 and the mounting elements 5a and 6a, are shown side by side in a top view or in a view in the direction of the second direction Y. Fig. 4 A side view, omitting the depiction of the mounting blocks 5a and 6a, illustrates this. It clearly shows that the mounting block has laterally projecting positive-locking features 17, which engage in grooves 18 of the base frame 7 and create a positive lock in the second direction Y. The positive-locking features 17 and the grooves 18 are dimensioned such that displacement of the mounting block in the first direction X is permitted. The positive lock in the second direction Y prevents the mounting block 9 from tilting in the base frame 7 after the screw connections 13 are loosened.
[0027] The grooves 18 are formed in the form of an opening in the side wall 19 of the base frame 7.
[0028] Based on the Fig. 4It is further evident that both the base frame 7 and the receiving block are stepped, with the elongated holes 14 being formed in the projecting upper and lower sections of the receiving block 9.
