Abstract

The present invention relates to an electrode manufacturing apparatus for rolling and transferring a sheet-shaped electrode, wherein at least one surface of a metal sheet, having a first face and a second face as its reverse, is coated with a layer of active material. The apparatus comprises at least one rolling roller for rolling the electrode and a transport roller for transferring the electrode after rolling; a base roller with a predetermined diameter and a base surface on its outer circumference; and a stepped ring coupled to the outer circumference of the base roller, the stepped surface having a larger diameter than the base surface. The stepped ring is detachably coupled to the base roller. The size of the step is different from the thickness of the active material layer.The coefficient of friction measured on the surface of the stepped ring is different from the coefficient of friction of the base surface. The modulus of elasticity of the stepped ring is less than the modulus of elasticity of the base roller.
