Abstract
Autonomous vehicle for the detection of triacetone triperoxide (TATP) and a method for using the same for detection. The vehicle comprises a platform and means for moving said platform. Detection means and a control are arranged on the platform. The detection means comprise a detection chamber and means for introducing and removing a carrier containing a TATP detection compound into said detection chamber. The chamber includes an ultraviolet light source, a fluorometer, and an opening to allow the passage of the carrier; a tray with the carrier and means for driving said tray. In the method, the carrier is introduced into the detection chamber and its fluorescence is measured; it is then removed, exposed to air containing TATP, and measured again; the measurements are compared to establish TATP detection.
