Abstract

The present invention provides a series of novel sulfonamides that act as ligands for integrin-linked kinase (ILK), capable of activating the actin cytoskeleton and promoting cell receptor trafficking. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of these sulfonamides in the treatment or prevention of ILK-mediated diseases, such as type II diabetes mellitus or nephrogenic diabetes insipidus, as well as pathologies characterized by impaired transmembrane transport.
