Abstract

The invention relates to a method and system for detecting risky driving behavior through the temporal analysis of mobile device usage events. The method comprises detecting multiple usage events, determining an observation window, and identifying a behavioral pattern when the number of events within that window exceeds a predetermined threshold. The detection of this pattern indicates intensive, repetitive usage behavior associated with increased driving risk. Additionally, the system can apply a nonlinear penalty function based on the time intervals between events and calculate a dynamic risk index. The invention enables the identification of dangerous behavioral patterns that are undetectable by conventional models, thereby improving risk assessment in driver monitoring systems.
