Abstract
The invention titled “Design and Manufacturing of Mine Cart for Waste Rocky Soil Removal from Mining Drift” provides an innovative and efficient solution for improving operations in the mining industry. The machine operates manually, allowing an operator to load waste rock from the mining face into the cart (Fig. 3) and push it along the rail path (7). The pushing force is transmitted to the cart wheels (5) through the axle (6), enabling the cart to move smoothly along the rail. The wheels (5) are directly connected to the rails through 8 rolling contact mechanism, where the transmitted load from the wheels is transferred to the rail, then to the sleepers, and finally to the ground. The parallel rails are connected to each other using fasteners (12) and sleepers (8). The sleepers are made of eucalyptus wood, which is locally available and provides good shock absorption, supporting the cart without the need for anchoring. However, in certain sections or critical areas, anchoring may be applied for added stability.
