Abstract

The invention relates to a tailgate for a motor vehicle. A tailgate according to the invention comprises a rectangular loading platform (4). The tailgate (2) has a first flap (16) held along a first lateral side (6) of the loading platform (4). The first flap (16) is held to the loading platform (4) by means of at least one hinge (18), so as to allow the first flap (16) to pivot between a rest position, in which the first flap (16) is superimposed on the loading platform (4), and a working position, in which the first flap (16) extends along a first lateral side (6) of the loading platform (4).
