Description

Title of the invention: Carrying device with two superimposed pockets

[0001] The invention relates to a carrying article comprising a structure intended to cover a part of a user's body.

[0002] It applies in particular to a carrying article whose structure forms a vest comprising a back and straps intended to cover respectively the back and each of the shoulders of a user, in particular during the practice of an outdoor sporting activity such as running in urban environments (running) or in natural environments (trail running), hiking, or Nordic walking.

[0003] Such articles include carrying pockets to allow the user to carry accessories necessary for the practice of his activity, such as for example his phone, drink distribution containers such as a water bottle, a soft flask or a water pack, or nutrition products such as energy bars or flasks of gel or compote.

[0004] Articles are known in particular whose covering structure comprises: - a first pocket for holding a beverage dispensing container, said first pocket comprising a piece fixed to the periphery of an area of said structure and having an access opening; and - a second pocket for carrying another accessory, in particular an electronic device such as a mobile phone or smartphone.

[0005] To facilitate the design and access to the second pocket, the latter includes a sheath associated with the structure by being positioned above the yoke, so as to overlap the two pockets on a specific area of the carrying article.

[0006] However, the use of this solution for storing a first bulky accessory is not entirely satisfactory, as it induces a significant deformation of the insert and therefore of the sheath that covers it, which, particularly during physical activity, complicates the handling of storing the second accessory in said sheath.

[0007] In particular, the geometry of a flask or soft drink bottle filled with beverage will bend the pockets, this curvature complicating the insertion into the sheath of a second accessory of substantially flat geometry such as a smartphone.

[0008] The invention aims to improve the prior art by proposing, in particular, a carrying device comprising two superimposed pockets, said device being arranged to allow the user to easily store and retrieve an accessory from the outer pocket, particularly during sporting activity, even when an accessory bulky items are stored in the inside pocket.

[0009] To this end, the invention proposes a carrying article comprising a structure intended to cover a part of a user's body, said structure having a first carrying pocket for a first accessory, said first pocket comprising a piece fixed to the periphery of an area of the structure having an opening for access to said first pocket, said structure comprising a second carrying pocket for a second accessory, said second pocket comprising a sheath having an opening for access, said sheath being associated with the structure by being arranged above the piece, at least one edge of the sheath being dissociated from the structure between two ends of said edge, one of said ends being associated with said structure by means of an elastic link allowing a separation of said sheath from said piece.

[0010] Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description, made with reference to the accompanying figures, in which:

[0011] [Fig.la] and

[0012] [Fig.lb] schematically represent a carrying article according to an embodiment of the invention, respectively in front view ([Fig.la]) and in side view ( [Fig.lb]);

[0013] [Fig.2a] and

[0014] [Fig.2b] partially represent, respectively in front view and side view, the pocket equipping the right shoulder strap of the carrying item in figures 1a and 1b;

[0015] [Fig.3a],

[0016] [Fig.3b] and

[0017] [Fig.3c] each represent, in perspective according to different views, the pocket of figures 2a and 2b during different stages of tightening the cord around the free part of the accessory stored in said pocket;

[0018] [Fig.4] partially represents, in front view, the pockets equipping the left shoulder strap from the article on carrying figures 1a and 1b,

[0019] [Fig.4a] and

[0020] [Fig.4b] representing, in perspective from different views, the pockets of the [Fig.4] with accessories stored there;

[0021] [Fig.5a] and

[0022] [Fig.5b] represent, in perspective from different views, the assembly of the pockets of the [Fig.4].

[0023] In relation to these figures, a carrying article is described below which presents a structure 1 intended to cover a part of the body of a user 2.

[0024] In the description, the terms of positioning in space are taken with reference to the carrying article as shown in the figures, as well as with respect to the user 2's position when wearing said article. In particular: - the terms "left" and "right" are taken in reference to the laterality of user 2 wearing the article; - the terms "internal" and "external" are taken in reference to a sagittal anatomical plane of the user's body 2, and designate positions respectively close to and far from this sagittal plane; - the terms "inside" and "outside" are taken in reference to the position of the carrying item in relation to the part of the user's body 2 that it covers, and designate positions respectively close and far from said part of the body.

[0025] In the embodiments shown, the carrying device is a vest intended to be worn during outdoor sporting activities, such as running in urban environments (running) or in natural environments (trail running), hiking, or Nordic walking. Alternatively, the carrying device may have other forms, in particular that of a belt intended to be worn around the waist of the user 2, for a use similar to that of the vest.

[0026] The structure 1 of the vest shown includes a back 3 and straps 4a, 4b intended to cover respectively the back and shoulders of the user 2. The vest includes in particular a lower sleeve 5 of a height adapted to surround the abdominal belt of the user 2, said sleeve connecting laterally the lower end of each strap 4a, 4b with the adjacent side of the back 3.

[0027] The vest includes a front slit 6 which extends between respective internal side edges 7a of the shoulder straps 4a, 4b and lower sleeve 5, in order to allow the user 2 to put on the item by spreading said slit.

[0028] In figures 1a and 1b, the vest has three pairs of straps 8 arranged each on respectively an inner edge 7a of the sleeve 5 or of the adjacent shoulder strap 4a, 4b, being provided with complementary reversible fastening means 9 to ensure that the article is held on the torso of the user 2.

[0029] In particular, each edge 7a of the slot 6 includes notches 10 distributed regularly over a part of its height, each strap 8 including an anchoring means 11 formed on its end opposite to that carrying the means 9 for fixing to the other strap 8, said anchoring means being arranged to be fixed reversibly and selectively in one of said notches, in order to allow the user 2 to adjust the height of the straps 8 to his morphology.

[0030] Advantageously, the vest is made of a "mesh" type textile material, in order to improve the user's comfort 2 during the practice of his sporting activity, in particular by allowing air circulation and the evacuation of perspiration.

[0031] The article includes carrying pockets 12, 13, 14, 15 to allow the user to carry accessories necessary for the practice of his sporting activity, such as for example his phone, drink distribution containers such as a water bottle, a soft flask or a water pack, or nutrition products such as energy bars or flasks of gel or compote.

[0032] In figures 1a and 1b, the article includes two lower side pockets 12, each formed on a portion of the sleeve 5 respectively, to allow the storage of accessories such as nutrition products, each lower pocket 12 including an access opening equipped with reversible closure means, for example in the form of hook and loop fasteners, to prevent the accessories stored therein from falling out during the movements of the user 2.

[0033] The article also includes a back pocket 13 formed on the back 3, accessible via a side opening 17 for storing a clothing accessory such as a rain jacket. The lateral position of said opening allows access to said back pocket when the article is worn by the user 2, particularly during sporting activity. In particular, this opening 17 is equipped with an elastic band to hold the accessory stored in the back pocket 13, thus preventing the accessory from falling out and being lost through said opening.

[0034] The back 3 of the vest can also be equipped with a back pocket arranged for carrying a large drinking container, for example a water bag equipped with a drinking tube having a nipple at its free end, said back pocket and the vest being arranged to allow the nipple to be positioned near the head of the user 2, for example on one of the straps 4a, 4b, in order to allow said user easy access to said nipple when he wishes to consume the drink contained in said water bag, in particular during the practice of his sporting activity.

[0035] The structure 1 notably includes a carrying pocket 14 which includes a insert 18 fixed around the periphery of an area of said structure, having an opening 19 for access to said pocket.

[0036] In the embodiments shown, the area equipped with the pocket is formed on one of the shoulder straps 4a, 4b, in particular on the right shoulder strap 4a. Advantageously, each of the shoulder straps 4a, 4b includes such a pocket 14, in order to allow the user 2 to have more places to store his accessories 16, and in particular to adapt the storage of said accessories according to his laterality.

[0037] For each strap 4a, 4b, the area equipped with the pocket 14 is intended to cover a lateral portion of the user's chest 2, in order to allow said user easy access to the accessory 16 stored in said pocket.

[0038] Each strap 4a, 4b comprises, in addition to the inner lateral edge 7a, an outer lateral edge 7b which is spaced from said inner edge according to an appropriate transverse dimension to form a large contact surface between said strap and the shoulder of user 2, and thus ensure the comfort of said user when wearing the item.

[0039] Furthermore, each insert 18 comprises two lateral edges 20a, 20b, each of which is associated with a lateral edge 7a, 7b of the corresponding shoulder strap 4a, 4b. Thus, each pocket 14 extends over the entire transverse dimension of the shoulder strap 4a, 4b, which makes it possible to have pockets 14 suitable for carrying large accessories 16, in particular beverage dispensing containers 16, as shown in Figures 3a to 3c and 4a, 4b.

[0040] In particular, each insert 18 has a transverse dimension which is greater than the total transverse dimension of the strap 4a, 4b, in order to give the pocket 14 a volume and thickness of dimension(s) suitable to receive accessories 16 as described above.

[0041] In the embodiments shown, each pocket 14 is formed between the yoke 18 and the area 4a, 4b of the structure 1, that is, on the outer face of a strap 4a, 4b, the yoke 18 having a detached edge 20c which forms the access opening 19 of said pocket. To achieve this, the yoke 18 is fixed by stitching around its periphery to the corresponding strap 4a, 4b, and has in particular two lateral edges 20a, 20b and a lower edge 20d which are each stitched respectively to a lateral edge 7a, 7b and the body of said strap.

[0042] The assembly further includes an accessory 16 intended to be stored in one of the pockets 14, having a free part 21 disposed in the access opening 19 of said pocket.

[0043] In the figures, the accessory is a beverage dispensing container 16 and has an upper neck 21 forming the free part. In particular, the container 16 is of the flexible flask type and comprises a flexible body, which notably reduces its size when it does not contain a beverage, as well as a neck 21 which is equipped with a nipple that the user can pinch between their lips to dispense a quantity of the beverage contained in said container.

[0044] Advantageously, the access opening 19 of each pocket 14 extends into the upper part of said pocket, which allows the container 16 to be stored vertically in said pocket, with its dispensing neck 21 facing upwards, and in particular towards the head of the user 2 carrying the item. Thus, the user 2 can easily access the container 16 when he or she wishes to consume the beverage it contains.

[0045] In particular, the dispensing neck 21 can be equipped with a straw-type tubular extension, the length of which is sufficient to allow the user 2 to consume the beverage contained in the container 16 by sucking directly from the upper end of said extension with their mouth, without having to remove said container from pocket 14.

[0046] The access opening 19 of each pocket 14 is equipped with a sheath 22 in which is arranged an elastic cord 23 for retracting said opening, in particular on the free part 21 of an accessory 16 stored in said pocket.

[0047] In relation to the figures, each yoke 18 includes a hem which is fixed by sewing at its dissociated edge 20c to form the sheath 22, the elastic cord 23 having two ends associated by sewing to respectively a lateral edge 7a, 7b of the corresponding strap 4a, 4b.

[0048] The elastic cord 23 further includes at least one strand 24 disposed outside the sheath 22 to allow retraction of the opening 19 by pulling on said strand in a clamping configuration.

[0049] To this end, the sheath 22 includes two orifices 25 formed on an inner face of the insert 18, and through which respectively a portion of the cord 23 passes. In particular, each orifice 25 includes a rigid eyelet, for example made of plastic and / or metallic material, in order to facilitate the sliding in said orifice of the corresponding portion of cord 23.

[0050] As shown in the figures, each strand 24 is devoid of a device for maintaining its tension outside the corresponding sheath 22 in the clamping configuration, said strand being arranged to allow its retention in the clamping configuration by cooperation with the free part 21 of the accessory 16 stored in the pocket 14.

[0051] In particular, the length of the strand 24 allows its arrangement by extension on the free part 21, the elastic return of the cord 23 on said free part ensuring both the retention of the strand 24 in the tightening configuration and the pressing of the opening 19 on said free part.

[0052] Advantageously, the strand 24 forms a loop which is arranged to surround the free part 21 in tightening configuration, which constitutes a simple and intuitive realization, and allows the user 2 to quickly and reliably tighten the opening 19 of the pocket 14 around his accessory 16, in particular with one hand during the practice of his sporting activity.

[0053] Advantageously, the strand 24 is equipped with a gripping tab 26 to allow the user 2 to position the cord 23 in a tightening configuration by manually pulling on said tab, as shown in Figures 4a and 4b. Similarly, when the user 2 wishes to remove the accessory 16 from the pocket 14, they can grasp the tab 26 to remove the loop 24 of the cord 23 from the free portion 21 of said accessory.

[0054] In the figures, and particularly in relation to figures 4, 4a, 4b, the left shoulder strap 4b of the vest includes a first pocket 14 as described above for carrying a first accessory 16, in particular a beverage dispensing container water bottle or soft flask type, as well as a second 15 pocket for carrying a second accessory, in particular a flat and rigid accessory such as a mobile terminal or smartphone.

[0055] According to variants not shown, the right shoulder strap 4a of the vest 1 may also include such a second pocket 15 superimposed on its pocket 14 for carrying the container 16.

[0056] The second pocket 15 includes a sheath 27 which has an opening 28 for access to said second pocket, said sheath being associated with the structure 1 by being arranged above the insert 18 of the first pocket 14.

[0057] In the embodiments shown, the access opening 28 of the second pocket 15 extends in a direction that is perpendicular to the direction of the access opening 19 of the first pocket 14, on which said second pocket is superimposed. Thus, the two openings 19, 28 are spatially separated, which allows the user 2 to differentiate them more easily.

[0058] In particular, the access opening 28 of the second pocket 15 extends vertically along a lateral edge 29a of the sheath 27, the access opening 19 of the first pocket 14 extending horizontally along the upper edge 20c of the insert 18.

[0059] Advantageously, the access opening 28 of the second pocket 15 extends vertically along a lateral edge 29a of the sheath 27 which is adjacent to the inner lateral edge 7a of the shoulder strap 4b. Thus, the user 2 can easily access this opening 28 when wearing the item, so as to extract or store a second accessory in the second pocket 15, particularly during the exercise of his sporting activity.

[0060] In the figures, the sheath 27 includes an outer wall 30 in which the access opening 28 of the second pocket is formed by means of a slot 31. The slot 31 has a longitudinal dimension which is sufficiently large to allow the user 2 to store in the second pocket 15 a second accessory of significant length and / or width, for example a telephone or a smartphone.

[0061] The slot 31 is equipped with reversible closure means, in particular in the form of a watertight closure 32, which allows a second sensitive accessory, in particular electronic such as a telephone or a smartphone, to be stored in the second pocket 15, protecting it from moisture and the risk of falling from said second pocket through said slot.

[0062] At least one edge 29b of the sheath 27 is dissociated from the strap 4b between two ends 33a, 33b of said edge, one of said ends being associated with said strap by means of an elastic link 34 allowing separation of said sheath from audit embedding.

[0063] Thus, when a first accessory 16 is stored in the first pocket 14, in particular a bulky accessory such as a flask filled with drink, the user 2 can move the second pocket 15 away from said first pocket by pulling the sheath 27 forward, which allows the flatness of said second pocket to be maintained, and facilitates the storage of a second accessory in said second pocket.

[0064] In the embodiments shown, the dissociated edge is a lateral edge 29b of the sheath 27, and the access opening 28 to the second pocket 15 is formed along the opposite lateral edge 29a of said sheath. Thus, in the figures, the dissociated edge is the external lateral edge 29b of the sheath 27.

[0065] In relation to [Fig.4b], the sheath 27 includes an inner wall 35 arranged opposite the insert 18 of the first pocket 14, forming between them a space 36 of elastic movement between said pockets, which opens through the dissociated edge 29b.

[0066] The end 33a equipped with the elastic link 34 is adjacent to the upper opening 19 of the first pocket 14. In particular, the upper edge 29c and outer lateral edge 29b of the sheath 27 are both dissociated from the strap 4b, and the elastic link 34 is associated with the upper end 33a of said outer lateral edge, which makes it easier to separate the sheath 27 from the first pocket 14.

[0067] Furthermore, the inner side edge 29a and the lower edge 29d of the sheath 27 are both joined by stitching to the strap 4b, so as to permanently attach the other end 33b of the detached edge 29b to said strap. This arrangement makes it possible to form a pivot along the lower edge 29d of the sheath 27, around which said sheath can pivot when the user 2 elastically pulls it away from the first pocket 14 to store a second accessory.

[0068] In particular, the lower edge 29d of the sheath 27 is sewn to the strap 4b, being offset in height below the lower edge 20d of the yoke 18, in order to limit interactions between the pockets 14, 15, and in particular between the accessories 16 stored in each of said pockets.
