Abstract

The invention relates to a non-destructive method for detecting the presence of recycled polyethylene terephthalate in a preform (12) intended to be formed into a container (11) by molding, in particular by stretch blow molding, characterized in that the method consists of determining the presence of an absorption peak (P1, P2) for at least one determined wavelength (λ1, λ2) between 580 nm and 690 nm, which is characteristic of the presence of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET).
