Molding process and tool for manufacturing a component made of fiber composite material

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a component made of fiber composite material from a fiber composite material having a fibrous material and a matrix material encapsulating the fibrous material, the method comprising the following steps: - providing a molding tool having at least one mold core, to form at least in certain sections at least one cavity in the component made of fiber composite material to be manufactured, - introducing the fibrous material into the molding tool so that at least one mold core is at least partially covered, and - manufacturing the component made of fiber composite material by hardening the matrix material impregnating the fibrous material.characterized in that - at least one mold core is manufactured from a thermoplastic material in an extrusion process in which the thermoplastic material is pressed in a plastically deformable state through a molding die.
