Motor vehicle seat headrest

Abstract

The invention relates to a headrest (1) for a motor vehicle seat, comprising a body mounted to slide relative to a frame, a metal nut (4b) having a metal thread (6), and a geared motor rotating a metal worm screw (8b) having a screw thread (9) received by said metal thread. The screw thread further engages in a precise fit within a plastic thread (10) integral with said metal nut and arranged coaxially with said metal nut. The headrest further comprises a means (11a) for distancing said metal thread from said screw thread. The screw thread and metal thread interpenetrate radially so as to provide additional locking of said screw by said metal nut in the event of a violent impact of a passenger's head on said headrest.
