Abstract
A method for displaying augmented reality in a motor vehicle includes an exterior rearview mirror with a camera recording a stream of images directed towards the rear and side of the vehicle. The method comprises the steps of: real-time analysis (201) of the image stream to detect the presence of a vehicle approaching the motor vehicle; when the presence of a vehicle is detected, display (205) of the image stream on an augmented reality display in the motor vehicle.
