Abstract

The invention relates to a roof arch (1) for a motor vehicle body comprising an outer sheet metal (4) and a roof lining (6) defining a hollow section (7) between the lining (6) and the outer sheet metal (4), the roof arch (1) comprising at least one longitudinal portion (8) extending over at least a part of the roof arch (1) and having at least one sheet metal forming a roof reinforcement (11), the reinforcement (11) extending longitudinally within the hollow section (7), the outer sheet metal (4), the lining (6) and the reinforcement (11) being joined by at least two rebates (12), the longitudinal portion (8) having a cross-section in which the lining (6) has a corrugated shape between the two rebates (12) defining at least one fold (13) locally bringing the lining (6) and the reinforcement (11) together.
