Method and device for controlling a vehicle's head-up display system

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and device for controlling a head-up vision system (HVS) in a vehicle. The HVS is configured to operate in a plurality of display modes, including a single-plane display mode and a multi-plane display mode. The vehicle includes a touchscreen (13). For this purpose, an indicator (31) representing the HVS is displayed on the touchscreen (13). Initial data representing a touch input (301) on the indicator (31) is received. Following the receipt of this initial data, second data representing a transition command from the current display mode to the target display mode is transmitted to a HVS controller. The transition command is a function of the current display mode, and both the current and target display modes belong to the plurality of display modes. (See Figure 3 for abbreviations.)
