Abstract
An engine comprises four-piston block (1, 2), crank mechanism (3), a crankcase (5) with lubrication system, and chain transmission mounted on the crankshaft (4). A rod (6) is fixed to each piston of block and connected by means of joint (7) to one end of a respective first lever (8). On opposite ends of four first levers, two are fixed to metal rod (9) for displacing the pistons of first and fourth cylinders, while remaining two are fixed to metal tube (10) for displacing the pistons of second and third cylinders. Metal tube is fitted over metal rod and mounted on supports (12). One end of each respective third lever (13) is fixed to metal rod and metal tube, opposite ends thereof being connected by means of metal pusher (14) to double-arm second lever (15), which, in turn, is connected to a rod (18) rigidly fixed to water-driven piston (17). Each piston is movably accommodated in water cylinder (20), each water cylinder being arranged below water reservoir, and provided with one water outlet (21) and one water inlet spring-loaded valve. Opening and closing of valves are ensured by metal rods (22, 27) engaging cam mechanisms (23, 28) connected to the crankshaft (4) by means of chain transmission. Each water inlet valve is formed by two discs (24) having circular cut-outs fixed to the cylinder (20), between which the movable member (26) having the size of half-disc and stationary member (25) having the size of quarter-disc are arranged.
