Abstract
The invention relates to an outdoor antenna suitable for digital television channels and the reception of digital radio channels; it allows the reception of radio and television frequencies in the UHF range (470-694 MHz). Furthermore, it has a small volume (52x43x43cm) and is capable of freeing up living space from the roofs of apartment buildings or single-family homes. It has very low air resistance (86N for a wind speed of 150km / h), does not require auxiliary fastening and does not constitute a visual obstacle (due to its small volume), after its final installation. The basic component isa λ / 2 dipole made of copper foil on a dielectric material with a constant from 2.5 to 4.8 @ 1GHz, which is connected to a 180-degree phase shift adapter and connected with a 75Ω cathode cable to any digital terrestrial radio and television receiver. It carries two grid-type reflectors that increase the overall gain in the direction of the transmitter and reduce unwanted signals from the rear side of the antenna. The azimuth lobe of the antenna is 100 degrees; this means that the end user simply points the antenna in the direction of the transmitter, connects the antenna to the receiver and receives the channels, without the need for a specialized installation technician. .
