Abstract

The invention relates to a ventilation and disinfection system that reduces the transmission of viruses in closed spaces, the system design of which is intended for catering facilities, but can also be applied in other similar closed spaces such as offices, meeting rooms, laboratories, operating rooms and anywhere else where it is necessary for a group of people to perform activities in a relatively small closed space. A flexible suction pipe (1) is installed above each table, adjustable in height. A blower (3) installed in the main ventilation duct (2) creates a negative pressure that is greater than the negative pressure of inhalation at the entrance to the suction pipe. This will cause the exhaled, contaminated air, instead of being inhaled by other people, to be sucked into the ventilation system. The negative pressure in the ventilation system can be adjusted by changing the speed of the blower (3).The polluted air sucked in from all flexible pipes in the facility is collected in the main ventilation duct (2) and directed into a disinfection bath located in a separate room, consisting of a container (4) filled with disinfectant (8), an inlet (6) and outlet pipe (7) and associated equipment. The inlet pipe (6) of the air into the container (4) is lowered almost to the bottom of the container (4), while the outlet pipe (7) is at the very top of the container (4). This achieves the flow of polluted air through the column of disinfectant (8), after which, purified of viruses, it is safely discharged into the environment, outside the building. In the main ventilation duct (2), between the inlet (6) and outlet pipe (7), there is a valve (5) with which it is possible to adjust the air flow into or past the purifier, depending on the need. The invention relates to a ventilation and disinfection system which reduces transmission of viruses in indoor spaces by which the construction of the system is intended for catering facilities, but in the same way can be applied in other similar indoor spaces such as offices, meeting rooms, laboratories, operating rooms and everywhere else where it is necessary for a group of people to perform activities in a relatively small indoor space. Above each table, there is a flexible suction pipe (1), adjustable in height. The blower (3) installed in the main ventilation duct (2) creates a vacuum that is higher than the vacuum at the inlet to the intake pipe. This will make the exhaled, polluted air, instead of being inhaled by other people, be sucked into the ventilation system. The vacuum in the ventilation system can be adjusted by changing the blower speed (3).Polluted air sucked in from all flexible pipes in the building is collected in the main ventilation duct (2) and directed to the disinfection bath located in a separate room, consisting of a container (4) filled with disinfectant (8), inlet (6) and the outlet pipe (7) and associated equipment. The air inlet pipe (6) into the vessel (4) is lowered almost to the bottom of the vessel (4) while the outlet pipe (7) is at the very top of the vessel (4). This achieves the flow of polluted air through the disinfectant column (8), after which, cleaned of viruses, it is taken to a safe place in the environment, outside the building. In the main ventilation duct (2), between the inlet (6) and the outlet pipe (7), there is a valve (5) which can be used to adjust the air flow into or past the purifier, depending on the need.
